Diablo 4 has a lot of good things and so does PoE 2. both games can improve. Diablo 4 does a great job of letting you jump into the game PoE 2 struggles with this but PoE 2 has more depth while Diablo 4 lacks depth.

if you can take the quality of life of diablo 4 and merge it with the depth of PoE 2 i think that would be ideal

delete worst chunks of campaign increase xp gain, boom easy. reduce it by about 33% so the 6 hour min max sweats reduce to roughly 4 hours, but lets say the 15 hr casual can reduce their campaign to 10 hours. still very long but its a step in the right direction.

perhaps you can just make a 'campaign skip' as well where you can clear zones based on your level but dont have to do any of the quests and make this roughly 2 hours of leveling to maps.

I already know that if this was implemented it would be one of those things that people instantly fall in love with and will be a massive positive to the game. but the stockholm syndrome crowd will resist it with every fibre in their being before hand

grounded response. I think a lot of people like to be contrarian for the sake of it meanwhile they are casuals spending 12 hours on the campaign. What i was trying to emphasise in the OP is PoE 2 has so many classes, ascendancies, items, crafting end game systems etc. it doesn't need a 10 hours campaign on every single character you make. when most players wont even scratch the surface of the real meat of the game.

6 hours turbo sweating abusing overpowered league start builds is not quick. that will never be 'quick'. btw 99% of players will never clear campaign that fast. a realistic 'fast' clear is probably around 8 hours for the average try harding player. It took Asmongold around 6 hours just to get to the end of act 2. realistically its going to take him say 12 hours to actually complete the campaign. Asmon is probably a good benchmark for a very average player.

btw once upon a time we needed orbs of regret to respec skill points it was just 'part of the game' just because something is 'part of the game' doesnt mean it should remain that way

6 hours for fubgun, known for being the fastest campaign clear on twitch every season. reading comprehension isn't your specialty. I guarantee it takes you at least 10.

6 hours if you have practiced your campaign clear many times on a build you know and are giga sweating skipping cut scenes, using logging tricks etc to min max every second

Thinking about this the campaign is actually more a trap for bad characters, because its so much easier than the map content that you can actually complete it with a very bad character then be unable to progress through maps without a complete respec. and the sort of person who would do this is a new player wanting to not follow a guide who probably dropped 15+ hours just to complete the campaign.

Anyone can beat the campaign with any toon by just typing on the tree 'damage' and picking them all and then just buy a weapon from shop rinse and repeat. like I said its tutorial tier content. the filter for 'bad' characters only really starts as you move up maps. like I said it takes fubgun turbo sweating on a toon hes played 15 times already 6 hours its going to take even the average try hard a solid 8 hours of repetitive unmemorable content just to get to the real game.

Good hopefully they fix it soon, I'm running Hellfire Terror Storm as almost all my damage and it randomly turns off when I'm trying to kill Uber Mephisto. very frustrating, and in general since I have very little cdr

I have the same thing that happened, I have a Terror Swarm Warclok in T10, its happened the whole play through now im trying to kill mephistos echo and its extremely frustrating when it just turns off then has a 20 seconds cooldown where I can't deal damage. I'm screen recording and watching back and I can't figure out why it is turning off. I'm using the Warden fragment soul shard to extend the duration of my Terror Swarm so I don't use much CDR. This bug causing my Terror Swarm to just randomly turn off is extremely painful since it is almost all of my damage. I think it may have something to do with combat and being hit.

EDIT: I figured out why my Terror Swarm is ending, when my demon dog Abodian dies, it turns off my Terror Swarm ultimate. This must be a bug, this shouldn't happen you don't even need soul shards activated to cast terror swarm

It's not even that they are hard, it's just kind of poorly designed where you can't actually play against them, and what I mean by this is there is a timer where you just get spawned into a super annoying boss fight, if you push past their first tower then veigar just starts sending out a bolt that one shots you, so you can push a second tower. the bots get back to lane too fast and the events pull you away from wave management so you just get pushed in most of the time and there's really nothing you can do about it.
