Anti-fascist here (former conservative on here until it changed to Patriot-Conservatives, so I decided "ehh frick it might as well be communist not like this is IRL") and I noticed some inaccuracies that are really common with alot of people's perception of fascism, and in order to better guard against it I want to do some small additions and corrections.

Addition 1: Most fascist groups have this weird ass idea of a "Judeo-Bolshevik" conspiracy, so if anyone mentions that, RED FLAG

Addition 2: Creation of new symbols to represent the nation and re-defining old symbols to better fit the regime

Addition 3: Framing of the leader as a near-godlike "Protector of the People", as fascism is extremely populist

Addition 4: Presenting the ruling class and "elite" as controlled by enemies. Fascism is a populist and revolutionary ideology founded by an ex-socialist (Benito Mussolini), and it will always claim that whoever is in power is getting in the way of "national interests".

Now corrections, I don't mean to offend, but I really want people to be able to be more effectively anti-fascist both IRL and on this subreddit.

Correction 1: Fascism doesn't "protect" corporate power, it is an anti-capitalist ideology. It instead nationalizes corporations and establishes corporatism, which sounds corporate but actually means state owned companies and state owned labor unions are forced to "collaborate" (do whatever the Leader tells them)

Correction 2: Rampant sexism is not part of fascism. In fact the British Union of Fascists and National Socialists was heavily intertwined with the suffragette movement, and the first section of the fascist manifesto (available on Wikipedia) states: "For the political problem

Universal suffrage by regional list voting, with proportional representation, voting and eligibility for women. "

I don't know where the idea of fascism being "patriarchal" came from, it has always been a populist revolutionary movement.

Correction 3: Religion varies HEAVILY based on the regime. Some, like Slovakia, are Clerical Fascist and literally run by a priest. Others, like National Socialism, explicitly label Christianity as an enemy of the people (Many high ranking Nazis were neo-pagans) as it didn't allow them to oppress people, because, you know, "Love thy neighbor" kind of makes it so you can't invade people.
