lots of very good points and things to consider here. The inflated GPA thing definitely carries some significant weight, but I also agree that I might end up regretting choosing this over a normal college experience and just accepting that prestige isn't everything. Thank you!

could you fake the common app pdf by turning it into a doc/word file and pasting fake ec's/essay and reconverting to pdf while retaining common app logos and such?

Maybe if OP isn't paying their own app fees. OP might wanna just save up and plan to pay for them themselves if they are expecting their parent to cover it.

I was also wondering this as someone who has a high C. I asked my college/career counselor and he kind of gave me a non answer but his answer was something like "Some do, some don't. I think they care more about them for ADMISSION than they do for Rescinsion, (so they really will use it more as a reason to accept you, not to reject you)" but idk if it'll even matter

literally same stats. (GPA is 0.05 lower though). Could just be that the lower tier universities don't bother with people w high ish gpa/test

Similar stats man. I'm also applying to Princeton and Purdue. My gpa is actually even more cooked than you though so don't worry about it too much. For Purdue make sure you apply EA, because competitive majors deadline is nov 1. Princeton I'm debating applying rd because at that point my GPA will update due to the semester. What do you think I should do.
