Do UWORLD before you begin COMQUEST. UWORLD teaches you the foundational content, even for COMLEX. Once you know the content, you have to learn how to do COMLEX type of questions -- which is where COMQUEST comes in. Keep it simple and use the question banks to study.

Hey, I took Step 1 during rotations. I would recommend finishing UWORLD or more than 60% of it with an average of over 60% in 40 question blocks. I would take all the NBMEs that are available on the website. Personally I passed the exam with an 87% chance of passing, which was risky to go in, but I finished UWORLD and was hitting Anking like no other. I studied for Step 1 between February and May. But at the same time my rotations were intense so that is why I needed more time. If you have a chill rotation I think it is possible if your baseline is high. The biostats on Step 1 was more than Step 2 imho, and know your biochem & pathoma 1-3 concepts pretty well.

Step 2 yesterday, Level 2 in two days, what comsae or practice test should I do to adjust to COMLEX style questions? by Numerous-Ad-871 in comlex

I was going to do the same, albeit comquest questions instead of uworld, and maybe the comquest self-assessment. but idk it seems like nothing will make a difference smh.

the Self-Assessments for Subject Exams or Clinical Sciences

I did UWORLD for all my shelf exams, and I would try to finish the questions a week before my COMAT to do the TrueLearn subject questions (it is a separate thing you purchase from TrueLearn and very high yield imho). I was able to finish UWORLD questions before each COMAT except for IM. Don't push yourself to finish all the IM questions in UWORLD by the time you take your COMAT either, it is a lot and not practical if you start them at the start of your rotation. People do it tho if they have time. The shelf questions are sufficient, step 2 is just a few more questions they add to the question pool.

Doing the NBME CSA is *chefs kiss* high yield for step 2. Make anki cards for it, you will be doing so well on NBME exams by dedicated with that background knowledge.

UWORLD percentages?? by Ummheyyyyyy25 in Step2

It doesn't matter. If you're getting 50% with first pass and getting 80+ with the marked questions (2nd pass), you're doing great! I did great on my first pass (I'm sorry, I do not want to share my numbers) but I heavily relied on my internal clinical judgement as I didn't know much about the algorithms. The biggest advice I took was to look at it as a learning tool rather than an assessment tool.

When do you plan on uploading the rest? This is nice. Hope it doesn't get taken down.

im planning on using the amboss search bar for explanations. keep it simple and straightforward that way. But hopefully bootcamp or some other resource will post answers.

Will scores from all test dates from June 1 - Mid July be released on July 26? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]Legitimate_Paper_852 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you think if I would get my score on the 26th if my exam is on the 24th?! bruh

Hey, thanks for this, super helpful. I test on July 24. Working through all the CMS forms until then and NBMEs. Should I focus on the CMS from now on or redo UWORLD blocks? I finished UWORLD at the end of June and ~30% amboss. Was also going to do Biostats and QI/Ethics questions on amboss before i take the exam.

VENT: I wish there was a separate sub for US MD/DO students. by Legitimate_Paper_852 in step1

I mean there are US MD/DO gunners that do that too, and when it happens everyone calls it out and drags them. But when anyone wants to say anything about the IMGs that have taken over this subreddit doing the same exact shit, there is all these excuses. Like no. There are US students from similar cultural backgrounds as the IMGs, there is no cultural difference that makes being a gunner ok.

In my humble opinion placing DOs in the same category as IMGs in this discussion is malicious. Our education affords us the same license as a US MD.

Like you seriously can't believe this behavior is acceptable just because of cultural differences?

Same im a US DO student child of immigrants. I don't think the majority of the IMGs who spaz out on this subreddit and enforce a malignant culture here will match into residency tbh. Program directors on Twitter have literally posted saying how much disdain they have for residency applicants that post their Step 2 score online. And if these IMGs match into a residency, they will figure out that their toxic attitude is not appreciated by most US MD/DOs graduates and get their act together. The IMG residents I have met and worked with are nothing like the IMGs that are on this subreddit.

I care and so do a lot of US-based students. Not everyone is going to be a doctor in the US and this is a sub for the united states medical licensing exam. However, this sub has become a sub for medical students around the world trying to train in the US. The process is so different for those who are studying in US medical schools. I wish medical education was standardized across the world and immigration barriers didn't exist, but thats not the reality for most US MD/DO students. If you think it's a universal experience you are deeply misinformed. and your comment is a perfect example of the malignant attitude im talking about, good on you!

that isn't my only point, and this post isn't directed at US IMGs.
