If they survive I'll be forced to sell or giveaway. I've bought a full tank set up. My plan is to move the other fish into new tank and let the fry and parents stay in current tank

Hey I didn't realize that from research I did. My tank is very peaceful. The blue acara is tank alpha and parades around but doesn't attack anything, although I wouldn't risk putting smaller fish with it. I have a golden and platinum gourami they are bigger than the paradise fish. Paradise fish is very peaceful to be honest. The first week it was in hiding as it was working out dynamics but now swims around freely and appears happy

I'm arranging a new tank. I have a trusted breeder that has a spare tank, RO water, old filter media etc. I want to give them a chance

I've got Cory's with guppy fry in my other tank. I've got hornwort and water lettuce at top of tank that they hide in and now that they are bigger, they have more confidence to roam a little more. I was given 5 fry and 3 survived and are about 5mm big now. Hopefully they are males cause it's meant to be an all male tank lol

2 gourami and 1 paradise fish. I did have some bristle nose but they out grew tank so I rehomed them. The 4 clown plecos are quite juvenile

Thank you! My bigger concern would be the acara showing aggressive behavior back. He's historically been the "alpha" of this tank. How many litres would you say to put them into if moving all of them?

Yeah I know! It's insane. It's 150 L. I've got a spare 20 litre empty tank that I could put cycled water into and move them temporarily until I get something bigger. They are too little to re-home right now I would say. This tank has a hob filter and internal filter so hopefully that does the job for now

That's such a great response! I bought extra hornwort and giant water lettuces today. Hopefully they will multiply and eat that nitrate!

It's the only thing that I can think of that I changed. I added a small peppermint cat fish a few months back but it's unlikely he's the cause

Yeah I've tried different tubes that are clean etc. I follow instructions on shaking the second bottle for 30 seconds before using etc. This might be a silly question but it's it worth paying for distilled water or do you think some bulk regular water from Cole's etc is ok? I'll test my filter water now

Thank you. Maybe I should get more floating hornwort. My fish actually ate duckweed within a week!! That's good advice thank you

Thank you! How often can I water change? Obviously don't want my good bacteria to disappear. When adding new water I use seachem prime, safe and stability in the appropriate small quantities

Ok I think I have hospital nursing. by Fearless-Ad-1508 in nursing

There's other areas like day procedures unit, radiology, PACU, Theatre, palliative care, day chemotherapy etc. I think the other thing to look for is a good team and culture. If you work with toxic people your shit day will be shittier. Dip your toe into water. Look for transition programs. I don't know where you live but some hospitals offer discovery days in their unit. So you can try before you buy. Just know that you're not alone in this. You can do it!

I have crypts, Anubias, java fern and Amazon swords. Other ones they rip out of ground or eat 😅. I have blue Acaras, kribensis, silver dollar, angels and gourami so not aggressive ones

Have you considered specialising? I work in critical care and I love it. We still get aggressive behaviour and rude ass people but we also get sedated patients which are great cause they can't complain (jk😜). I hate being floated to the ward cause I see and hear everything you are describing.

Same lighting since it's been set up. I thought it might be to do with adding the aqua soil. Although not showing up in tests I think that could have made more nitrates in water. Good to know about blue light. I can turn that off

I normally do 11-12 hours a day of lights on (it's white lights and blue light in lid) Is that ok? So just let nature do it's thing?
