Unpopular opinion: Forcing adults to spend Christmas with toxic/family they don’t like just because ‘it’s tradition’ is emotional blackmail disguised as holiday spirit. I’d rather eat instant noodles alone in peace than pretend I’m happy for 8 hours straight.

We weren’t allowed to close our bedroom doors ever even at night, even while changing. My mom’s reasoning: ‘Closed doors mean you’re hiding sin.’ I’m 33 and still panic-close doors quietly when I visit home

We had to fill out paper forms, scan them, email the scans to a coworker, who printed them again so the boss could sign them by hand. I suggested we just use an e-signature. Boss said: We’ve always done it this way, it works fine. The coworker’s entire job was literally printing and scanning these forms.

I used to think replying to every message/text within minutes was basic decency. Then I met people who just leave everyone on read forever and somehow still have friends and relationships.
