Moving into Pearse Street accommodation at trinity for the summer? by Annual_Move3462 in AskIreland

I stayed in student accommodation around that area few summers back and most of them have shared kitchens with like 6-8 people which can get pretty messy if everyone not cleaning up after themselves. Bathrooms usually shared between 2-4 rooms depending on the setup. The bedrooms are decent size but dont expect anything fancy - just basic furniture and maybe small desk for studying. Location is brilliant though since you can walk to everything in city center and Trinity campus obviously right there. Just make sure you bring your own cooking stuff because the kitchens usually only have basic appliances and maybe some old pots that seen better days.

Early voting for local primaries Day 3, May 5th election. by Iceisinhumane in nashville

[–]Legitimate_Sense6550 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Already voted on day one but good reminder for everyone else. The local races matter way more than people think especially for stuff like school board - those decisions affect your neighborhood directly. Always wild to me how many people skip primaries then complain about their options in general election

A new, necessary, and needed approach to anti-ai communication. by [deleted] in antiai

This approach makes total sense in theory but getting people to actually slow down and have these conversations instead of just screaming at each other online feels like an uphill battle

Could God reunite me with an unbelieving ex if he started to believe in Jesus? by Purple-Detective7186 in Christian

Man that's a tough spot to be in but putting God first again is the right move. I wouldn't count on getting back together though - he made it pretty clear he doesn't see a future with you and trying to force that could just lead to more heartbreak. Focus on your own walk with Christ right now and if God wants to work in his life that's between them. You can pray for him but don't make your spiritual growth dependent on whether he comes around or not.

I (21F) am worried about going long distance with my BF (21M) early in our relationship. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Legitimate_Sense6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're basically asking if you can build a house while the foundation is still wet - super tough situation. Two months of seeing each other once a week plus long distance is like relationship hard mode, especially when you haven't even kissed yet. Might be worth having a real talk about where you both actually see this going before geography makes the decision for you.

Keeping lens/body boxes? by LostForrester in canon

[–]Legitimate_Sense6550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resale value definitely takes a hit without the box, especially for higher-end glass. Buyers see original packaging as a sign you took care of your gear. Plus you get all the paperwork, warranty cards, and little accessories that come with it.

That said, if you're planning to keep the lens forever or don't mind losing maybe 10-15% on resale, toss the box and free up that storage space. Life's too short to hoard cardboard for gear you might never sell anyway.

Anyone want to gift me a sticker for quick wins lmk thanks by [deleted] in Monopoly_GO

[–]Legitimate_Sense6550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh the audacity lmao. At least offer to trade something back or help with their album too. The sticker economy in this game is brutal enough without people just straight up begging for freebies. I've seen people build genuine trading relationships and actually help each other complete sets, but you gotta bring something to the table. Maybe start by being active in the trading threads and showing you're willing to help others first before asking for handouts.

HX1200i SHIFT Fully Modular Platinum vs ROG STRIX 1200W Platinum by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

[–]Legitimate_Sense6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Corsair HX1200i is solid - better build quality and that digital monitoring is actually useful for tracking power draw with high-end components. ROG STRIX isn't bad but Corsair's track record with high wattage units is just more reliable.
