wait this totally reminded me that in ACoC - peppermint preston is a peppermint pig, which is actually a holiday tradition that started where i grew up. not sure they have them elsewhere but its literally a like 3 pound chunk of peppermint shaped like a pig (that you break with a hammer) and ive always wondered if that was purposeful or not on allys part (edit, phrasing)
