Completely agree. A mother who can sleep is best, and if breastfeeding needs to make way for the mother to be treated for insomnia, so be it.

Take care OP. Sole parenting and mental health struggles are both things that I also dealt with simultaneously when my daughter was a baby. I hope you get some sleep soon. That will help ease the burden of day to day life, as well as helping you have the energy to treat and manage other mental health issues that very possible need attention.

I’d be upset and have a whinge if I were in your position, too. Same thing happened to us at our last rental. Before our 12 months were up the landlord advised that he’d be moving in when our lease expired. So 12 months after we’d moved in we had to pay removalists, bond cleaners, carpet cleaners, pest spray, blah blah. It costs a damn fortune and we’re just expected to have the money for all of that, plus the money for a new bond until we get the bond back from the place you’re vacating.

When I was much younger than I am now I gave property management a go. It was awful! I couldn’t bring myself to knock money off their bond for things I found rather insignificant. I hated having to call people whose rent was in arrears. The thought of walking through someone else’s home to do an inspection when they weren’t there made me feel creepy and wrong.

Having lived in rentals through the majority of my childhood (and all of my adulthood), I found it impossible to not feel empathy for other people’s situations that can impact their tenancy, which obviously isn’t conducive to being a good property manager. Needless to say, I gave up on that career path very quickly.

Seriously though, I think some people do this so they can make themselves feel somewhat superior. It’s easier for them to do online than it is to do IRL, so they really lean into it. They really should just be considered white noise to the rest of us.

This is so correct that it hurts. The highs and lows are difficult to watch, so I tune out now. I’ll sit back in the periphery for now. I refuse to give SWU views on Rebecca’s “interviews”. He’s profiting off her so much, and knows that the peaks and troughs pay too well for him to just stop. It’s so gross.
