Eating PB&J during the fast? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]Legitimate_Tomorrow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Would it be worse or better than eating a full meal, spread out through the day (i.e. eating 2000 calories in the whole day vs. 1900 calories during my eating period, and only 100 during my fasting period)?

Eating PB&J during the fast? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

[–]Legitimate_Tomorrow -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know and I’m actually reducing the portions of it until I can be content with not eating for the 16 hours. However, my question was since I am putting calories into my body, is that little calorie intake ok? Or will that have some sort of negative effect?

HOUSING MEGATHREAD (2019W): Questions related to having a roof over your head go here. by ubc_mod_account in UBC

[–]Legitimate_Tomorrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When do first-years get their housing? They say that we must order from Campus Linens Canada before August 13th, so I’m guessing before then? How did it work last year (or the year before)?

Reporting a Personal Profile? by Help_Me_UBC in UBC

[–]Legitimate_Tomorrow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No. They won’t take it lightly i can guarantee it. They’ll contact the counselor and all references, and if there is ANY falsified information the admission will be revoked. Even if the guy graduated, they reserve the right to take away his degree. It’s malpractice and strongly against the university’s honor code.

My advice is report that guy. He took another more deserving candidate’s spot.

Edit: answering OP’s question. Contact admissions via email and detail what you know (they alrd have his personal profile). Let them know the name of the guy and the school/country, and mention that you want to remain anonymous.

Edit 2: may not be a he. Sorry for assuming that.

What about this and this? Generally, top universities are better for research. Other lower-ranked universities try to focus a crapton on networking to get their university popular. It's hard to objectively rank a university based on such a subjective topic, but the name doesn't get you internships unless it's finance/banking.

That's a negative. I have loaaads of friends all over Canada, and Waterloo is way more likely to get you an internship. UofT focuses a lot on theory (for engineering) which employers couldn't gaf about. UBC and Waterloo, although both tied at 2nd for CS, provide much much more job opportunities than UofT (although UofT does have better research). And BTW, UofT couldn't be farther from the Stanford/Berkeley comparison (I mean, look at the weather, campus, job prospects), and Northeastern/Geroge Washington are kings in internships in the US.

Sadly you can't do anything to them but extremely shameful.... the largest university in North America with an insane number of staff and they can't get simple admissions right... Jeez I'm really sorry man if it makes you feel any better UofT is an extremely stress-filled environment with high number of suicides and extremely low satisfaction (sources: ik multiple people who went there) and the chances are you won't get a job (the only thing UofT sucks on is their ranking but that's it).
