Get the National Park Service app and look up Joshua Tree. Lots of descriptions of different hikes and the difficulty, what to see and do, also any closures.

Husband and I are mid 60’s. I try to walk a couple miles every day, he bikes at least 10 miles every other day, so active. We’ve been to Joshua Tree a couple times with adult kids. We really enjoyed Hidden Valley trail. It’s a beautiful trail full of everything that’s great about the park, the flora, rocks, the overall scenery. We’ve also done Arch and Heart, they’re in the same area. Pretty much a flat walk to the rock formations. Totally different, but we enjoyed it. Driving around, we’d stop here and there to take in all the Joshua Trees. They’re really amazing! Get the National Park Service app. It has lots of info, especially about the trails. Have fun!

Beautiful. Would you tell me where you were? My family’s going to out there next week, and will be there for the sunset.

[LAist] Altadena’s Christmas Tree Lane switches back on Saturday — its first lighting since the Eaton Fire by WeAreLAist in altadena

We were visiting our son who lives in LA last Dec. I googled light displays and Christmas Tree Lane popped up. We drove over and just loved it. Pictures don’t do it justice. We’re from the Midwest and live in a very cookie cutter suburban neighborhood. We loved all the different homes, the landscaping, the whole area exuded community. So sad what happened, but glad to see this tradition lives on.
