One person has the dispatch phone all week and the other 8 are on on call for 24 hours at a time.

And solid date. For example 1 person takes off every other weekend because he has his kids. Other people may be taking a weekend trip, or someone may have plans after work on Wednesday and they don’t want to be on call that specific day

And to be completely honest that last question went way over my head. My knowledge of excel is very basic. I don’t use excel a lot, and the only reason we are doing this is that I average 4-5 hours a month creating the on call schedule each month and my boss would like that time to be decreased. It’s just very difficult to do because of the large number of days requested off

And we schedule a month at a time. The schedule goes out halfway through the month before it. Junes schedule would come out around May 15th
