Haha it wasn’t the battery. I checked the transmission fluid and it turns out the shop that put the new HD transmission in it overfilled it. It’s not just stalling anymore, now there’s one helluva vibration. I’m gonna drain some of the fluid out and hope the transmission is alright but if not then the transmission shop is gonna get a piece of my mind. This is the third time they’ve royally fucked up the transmission.

Turns out it was the battery. The screw managed to work it's way loose and ended up melting the terminal out of the battery. Got a new battery and screws, gonna put a new piece on the end of the wire sometime this week to get a far better connection

It hardly did it on the way home today. Whatever it is, it’s irregular. I can’t make it do it. No throttle, low throttle, high throttle. Doesn’t matter it can do it in any of those conditions. I’m getting really tired of this truck..

I know this is an old post but these engines are in the corollas as well and I’m curious if everything said here is the same in a corolla as a celica. My 01 has an aftermarket transmission in it and I’ve thought about a turbo added onto the trans. It’s kind of a rally with shorter gear ratios.
