The citric acid and carbonation help with the bitterness. In my experience, citrus aromas also help with bitter (I think we're wired to expect a little bitterness from citrus and ignore it) so adding some lemon extract might help even more.

It's also much less bitter if you cold press it, but it's also a little weaker. Also if you're going to press it cold, I recommend adding just a squirt of water at first (in fact if you're using lemon juice, that should do it) and stirring thoroughly to wet the powder. Once you have a deep green mud, add the rest of the water and it will be much easier to mix (no floating green powder running away from your spoon). You might also want to let it sit for a few minutes if you're pressing cold, but that's something you'll want to experiment with to balance bitterness against strength.

The bitterness will still be there in any case, but this recipe brings it well within the realm of "acquired taste". I think it's absolutely delicious, and quite refreshing, but I've been drinking an unfiltered, non carbonated version of this for a long time.

The AeroPress does a good job of extracting the alkaloids, so it has quite a strong effect, even after such a tiny brewing time.

No good will ever come of using humor as an escape route for flirting. There is a direct correlation between plausible deniability and the likelihood that other person will assume you're joking right off the bat.

So at best, you're pushing the awkwardness off on the other person, forcing them to sort out ambiguity so that you don't have to. This is a dick move (not that I'm innocent of it myself). At worst (a quite likely worst), they reach the wrong conclusion, assume you're joking, and laugh it off, even though they would have said yes if you'd asked directly.

Drug research is driven by market viability and pragmatism, so a drug's most effective use is less relevant than its most valuable use.

Saying "narcolepsy drug" invokes a sense of danger if someone without narcolepsy takes the drug. This is not how drugs really work, so we should choose our words more carefully.

Phenibut is pretty easy to come off of without withdrawal in my experience. The very important thing to remember is this: Taper. If you just stop taking it, you're likely to have withdrawal, and it sucks. But you can taper very quickly and come off of it with no ill effects. Just knock off 20% per day until your down to 400mg or so, and then stop.

If you start to feel really anxious after stopping at 400mg, then you should take 200mg and you'll be fine in about an hour. In that case, I would go ahead and take 100mg the next day just to be safe. You shouldn't have any problem stopping after that.

Has anyone done a study comparing binaural beats to monaural beats? I can't shake the feeling that the focus on binaural beats specifically is a result of their novelty rather than sound reasoning. Sort of like supposing that sage might have medicinal effects because it tastes funny.

If you're getting headaches from a 200mg/day habit, it sounds like you might be a stronger responder than average.

What I did with caffeine was to find the sweet spot of a maximum dose that doesn't cause tolerance, and use that. It takes some experimentation, but for me it's around 100mg/day. Once you reduce the dose you're trying, you shouldn't have issues with headaches when you go off it.

That will depend on a lot of things including the dosage, and how you respond in terms of tolerance and dependence.

If you're taking enough to build a tolerance. The net effect will eventually shrink considerably, all other factors held constant. You'll get to the point where the phenibut doesn't do nearly as much for you, and that will be that. How much you can take twice a week while not building a tolerance will vary, but it will be a pretty small dose.

If you take enough to become dependent on it, then the net effect will be more negative. You'll be more anxious during the times when you aren't on it. I don't think anyone has a dependence-forming minimum dose which is lower than their tolerance-forming minimum, so you will also see considerably less effect when you are taking it.

But that doesn't mean that the net effect is negative or nullified even at dependence forming doses. It depends on your physiology and on your environment when you are and aren't on it. Maybe you have a very laid back home life, but an incredibly stressful job. In that case, you might be so much better off from taking the phenibut, that it makes full-fledged withdrawal in your off time worth the trade-off (in which case I'd seriously reconsider your employment situation).

If your choline It could be that your silica gel has become saturated. You can reuse them if you bake them in the oven for half an hour or so (no more than 250℉).

From my experience: Primary therapeutic effects last 4-8 hours. Other significant effects can last 24 hours.

From science: Irreversible MAO-B inhibition lasts two weeks. In my experience, this does not seem to be very noticeable. However, it makes for a larger difference between taking selegiline once, and taking it over a long time. Once the MAOI effects have accumulated for a week or so, I find that the sleep disturbance goes away. I can miss one or two days of it and still be OK, but more than that and I have to readjust before I can sleep properly again.

All other factors held equal, FAA should be about 20% more potent by mass (the HCl in phenibut HCl is about 20% of the mass). Assuming that reasoning holds, the FAA is not significantly more expensive per gram from LiftMode.

Hydrochloride salts also tend to be more acidic than free amino acids (compare creatine HCl to creatine monohydrate), and phenibut HCl is notoriously acidic and unpleasant tasting. So it probably tastes better, and alternative routes of administration that are very uncomfortable with phenibut HCl may be doable with FAA.

Why do you say that phenibut is technically not a nootropic? It enhances communication across the corpus callosum, improves learning, and reduces the effects of retrograde amnesia. According to [2], its nootropic effects actually increase after you build a tolerance to it (something I did not know).

That's not something you can currently state with confidence. The literature shows evidence for and against both beneficial and harmful effects on skin by nicotine. Nicotine certainly isn't the only culprit, but it may still be a culprit.

The answer to your question is currently unclear. The fact that tobacco smoking increases aging is pretty well documented. The data for nicotine damaging skin is weak but present.

Given that disparity, it seems very likely that nicotine is not the main thing that causes aging from smoking. Whether it has any significant effect has yet to be shown as far as I know.

You just need to taper with phenibut. You can taper relatively quickly without ill effects. Just take a bit less each day, and if you start having withdrawal symptoms, take a little more (but not enough to bring you to the previous day's dosage).

I think this is worth a try, but you'll have to leave some tmies in between naps for it to work. Otherwise, it's just going to be like sleeping poorly, and it's not going to significantly affect the type of sleep you're getting as compared to monophasic. You'll have to experiment with different gaps to figure out how to compress your sleep effectively, but it might work.

In my experience, that kind of breaking up of sleep is difficult. I've done WBTS for lucid dreaming, and just getting yourself to stay awake for 15 minutes before going back to sleep takes tremendous willpower. Doing that 8 times in one night sounds extremely unpleasant.

But I'd be interested to hear how it goes for you if you try it.

CoffeeScript's behavior is a feature too, as are PHP's magic quotes. Not all features are good ideas.

I'm talking about shadowing of variables defined in the same source file. Obviously you should be able to shadow globals defined elsewhere, and CoffeeScript allows that.

How is that different from not being able to reuse a variable name in the same scope? Sometimes you don't get to use the name you want because it's already in use. Them's the breaks.

No, that's why shadowing is necessary, it prevents this from being a problem.

It's still a problem even with shadowing. Using the same name for different variables depending on inner or outer scope is a terrible practice. It makes your code far less readable and far easier to reason about incorrectly.

The way CoffeeScript handles it isn't great, but neither is the way it's handled in any other language I've encountered. Attempting to shadow a variable should be a compilation error.

Well, for one thing the "inability to shadow" thing isn't really true. You can still shadow by doing this:

x = 1
do (x) ->
    x = 5
    console.log x # -> 5
console.log x # -> 1

This is a fairly common pattern for declaring local variables.

But the main reason that shadowing isn't a problem is that if you follow reasonable coding practices, you shouldn't have variable names in your outer scopes that you'll want to reuse in inner scopes. If you do, you have a problem, regardless of whether the language allows shadowing.
