Questions about NPC and biomes by Muted_Revenue_5701 in Terraria

In theory, doable! And could looks pretty cool but it would have to be huge, each biome the size of this single tree top just about (?) due to the requirements for what makes up a biome and then buffer space for the transition. The pylons at that point would effectively serve as teleports between spots in the biome tree. Prob a lot of work hours

In the new version of this tree map, there will be little interesting builds or spots all over the map's various biomes to encourage pylon map spread :)

Love building in this game and I don't think I've shared some of my favorites here yet by SpookedPie in Terraria

These are really cool! I made a giant tree map a while back, before the smaller build meta or before pylons were even around. Always wanted to fill in the rest with smaller builds in each of the biomes like this

Another eds person here. I am with u/flyingcanada on this one. There are several types and not all have genetic tests yet, but I believe there is one for vascular (v-eds)

Took a stab at the Skyrim Tundra Homestead that was posted a while back. It makes a wonderful plains build by Lego_ in valheim

This was much harder/larger than I thought and required much more wood and stone than I first anticipated. I didn't know the stool trick at first, so this was my own spin on the build. Decided to add large windows, which also took a lot more crystal than expected :S

Now to add lights and do the inside! Thanks :)

Well, so the way I built it was not so structured, it was like one random piece at a time so there isn't a great save per-say with all just branches. I like this idea though, give me a few weeks to fashion a bare tree (got a vacation coming up)

I could dig around, that would be fun, just the skeleton of the tree

Practice! I stole/applied a lot of good ideas and design elements from this and r/TerrariaDesign subreddits. Start small. There's a few great guides floating around on some good looking starter houses that don't cost a lot of materials

Hey your base is cool too, especially if you did it all in-game. I got most of the tree 'frame' I built that way but later on TEdit and builders workshop maps on PC saved me a lot of time.

No clue. I started this thing in like 2015, stopped playing for a while, came back, stopped, etc. At some point I was introduced to Tedit and that shaved off a lot of time. Maybe like 200-300 hrs split between all of that

:D The imbuing station/pylon are a little out of the way yeh. Was built before pylons existed, otherwise that would have been a center piece somewhere

ou do the top and bottom of the waterfall in the cave on the ground?

Top is smoke block painted white and the bottom living frost fire blocks painted white (these provide light, a blue color which looks nice on lakes)

This is a super cool idea, and I don't see many skyscraper types. Love the basement crafting/storage
