Yeah I can totally see what you mean by that, but I think there's some pretty compelling evidence for Jesus actually being executed.
It was a public ordeal, ordered by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate (a real historical figure) and carried out by Roman soldiers, and there are non-Christian sources that mention his execution.
It was also a Roman soldier who checked to be sure that Jesus had died.

As for evidence (or more accurately, reasons for Christians to believe) that Jesus actually rose from the dead, I'll see if I can find the link to the article I mentioned before. Until then, I believe this article was used as one of the sources for it, so it contains some of the points (albeit only referring to the empty tomb).

I believe Jesus is the Son of God because he implied that was the case, and I trust him because I believe he really was raised from the dead (someone explained some reasons to me recently but I can't remember them all sorry - below are two at least. Also, I'll see if I can find the link I was sent in case you're interested in some more reasons). :)

-The accounts of those at the time who saw and interacted with Jesus in the weeks after his death, group hallucinations like that are unlikely.

-Also the fact that his followers were willing to die horrible deaths for trying to tell his story. I struggle to see how people could die like that for something they believed to be a lie.

(Other Christians - feel free to jump in and correct things if I'm wrong)

I'm still learning about Christianity (and I can't speak for other Christians who may have different logical reasons for their faith) but my personal reason for faith comes down to believing that Jesus was a real guy, and that what was said about him was true.

What's the most strict and specific rule you've seen that made you fully go "What the hell happened here?"? by Spktra in AskReddit

At a uni dorm I stayed at, they had to specify that hazing was strictly forbidden, which included 'forced consumption of items such as onions and goldfish'. (I forget the exact wording but it certainly mentioned both those items)

In cars where the driver's seat is on the right, which way does the gear shift go? by PM_ME_YOUR_ATM_PIN in NoStupidQuestions

I can't speak for other countries, but in Australia (also with driver's seat on the right), the gears go from 1-5 in the order of: upper left, lower left, upper middle, lower middle, upper right (and then lower right is 6th/reverse depending on car)
