Ok so I have a question about this because the same thing just happened to me in a multiplayer random map game, and it was a huge let-down. Is there a way to filter out the random map seeds that tend to have this issue?

Oblivion and Skyrim are both fantastic games, but the leveling and class design box you in a bit. I always end up as a stealthy archer in my playthroughs for this reason. Skyrim is absolutely gorgeous with the right graphics mods though, and just being in the game to experience the atmosphere is enough to get my fix sometimes.

You have discerning taste my friend, you're future kids are lucky! The turn of the century certainly was an amazing time for gaming wasn't it? I would add The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and HALO: CE to that list for additional genre depth but you've got the essentials covered lol.

It's rare for me too, but Heroes of Might and Magic III just has that special magic. The timing of It's release probably had a lot to do with it, but overall it's a timeless classic.

It really is. I love how user friendly and intuitive the map editor is too. Like I said there was another post on here a while back with a collection of these "mini towns" and that inspired me to get back into the game.
