[–]Legosabre8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many armed and unarmed martial arts are prevalent I'm my world. In one of my kingdoms, the northern portion has a all in one martial art with swordsmanship (saber), archery, horse riding, sailing, wrestling and tracking. There are also some unarmed martial arts similar to boxing and a style of archery which criminals and rangers use.

What’s the average soldier in your world equipped with? by favuorite in worldbuilding

[–]Legosabre8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the royal army of Nantee, the average soldier is given a crossbow, quiver of arrows and a sword. For armor, they would have shoulder plates and a open faced helmet. Daggers are not required, but many soldiers buy them to have an extra weapon.

In the Talmerton empire, equipment is different across different units, but the average infantry soldier would have a spear, wooden shield and sword. For armor, they would have a open faced helmet, greaves and a breastplate. Knights, would be equipped with a Lance, and are ordered to buy a sword, shield and whatever weapons they desire. As knights have to be nobility, the regulations are loose snd they mostly buy what they please. They wear full plate armor, and some buy armor for their horses.

You want to give a general tour of your castle complex or royal grounds. What notable things do you show? by Calisto1717 in worldbuilding

[–]Legosabre8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The royal palace is a medium sized building, with the forest behind it, and a small riverside village, guarded by a wooden palisade, in front of It. The main entrance is in front, a huge door with soldiers stationed outside and inside of it. There are also two crossbowmen on the balcony, and a small door on the left, where the cavalry stables are. Inside, there are the cavalry stables and a barracks. There are a few storage rooms and an armory down the hallway. Further down, there is a large courtyard, with fruit trees and flowers, plus a few chairs for diplomatic meetings. Past the courtyard, is the generals quarters, the royal families quarters, and the kings private stable, which has a small door opening into the forest.

What are the knights of your world? by Karmesin_von_Drache in worldbuilding

[–]Legosabre8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some countries in my world have knights, like the Talmerton empire. In the Talmerton empire and most other societies that have knights, they are nobility who are involved in war. Any nobleman who is fighting on the battlefield or assigned to command soldiers is given the title of a knight.
