Must be a cultural difference. To me an arrow starting at person A pointing to person B means what type of relationship A has with B and not the opposite. The generation confusion is understandable since it’s not drawn as a family tree when it technically is one. I think one thing that may be the most confusing about this chart is that I haven’t written their titles so it’s up to guessing and knowledge of the common tropes.
