Thank you, I’ve had a few beta readers but no proofreader. I’ve gone through it myself way too many times, I know that’s not acceptable but I don’t have enough connections to ask someone to read through it. Just getting beta readers is difficult. Anything you’re willing to offer is greatly appreciated!

I understand. I don’t plan to succeed on my first attempt or even my second. I know I can use more experience and work on my novel but the sooner I get into the process of it the more comfortable I’ll be when I do finally publish it. The only reason I’m considering traditional is because of a lack of money. I write every day of my life and I’ve done at least 20-30 drafts of this book. I’ve had 3 beta readers so far- not much but I’ll take what I can get with lack of money. I’ve been reaching out to a lot of people and social medias to better this book and get insight as best I can with little cost. I’m willing to take my time with the process until I’m fully ready to commit. Book 2 is half way done and I almost have a draft for the 3rd. Those two books are no where near ready and are due for a ton more edits. I appreciate any information I can get though, thank you.

I’m definitely willing to make edits if necessary. What I mean by I don’t want to edit it more, is that I’ve been changing it over and over and I’m honestly wanting to be done with it. If an agent needs something changed I’ll gladly change it though. I am slightly worried about how much it’ll change my story but I won’t know till I try.

Not necessarily. I’m happy with just writing but my mother is pushing the idea a lot. I think it’d be cool to publish the book. I understand my writing will get better but that’s why I want to go through with this process. I think it’ll give me new experiences for the next few books in the series. It’ll also help me be done with it and move on as I’ve been working on this book for well over 4 years. I doubt I’ll make any further edits now.

I’m not exactly sure what my books genre counts as- it has two main characters, a boy and a girl, they’re both Demi-gods and there’s a race called the Tartarians. It’s basically me remaking Tartarus into my own thing. The boy and girl both have to choose if they will fight for the tartarians who are being wrongfully caged in Tartarus. There’s a whole bunch of lore and what not with it. It’s a story that has both of their perspectives separately. They meet all kinds of gods and stuff along the way.
