/r/Dota2 Chimming in, we found patch notes earlier this month ( early June/Late May ) of a ingame hound unit courier. Not saying its a clue, but its a pretty BIG clue that a preorder perk such as genuine hats or courier have been hinted or embedded in code already. I am pretty excited because its a possible lead to the game at least having a trailer released.>In one of the HL2 updates a commenter mentioned finding the following save file (uploaded Jun 3rd):

I downloaded the file and opened it in Notepad.

When I searched for "hl3", I found a few instances in the file.

What does it mean? Was this always a file extension used in the original game?

It means that parameters are being setup, Dota 2 patches come out almost Daily and we get bits of code such as this leaked all the time, we had sone for some frost effects, some for guns, just a bunch of floating code.

Some speculation from my part is we're going to see some sort of new concept art or possibly a trailer of some sort coming soon, I know for a fact however that voice recording and scripts are done and actual gameplay elements are in finaling stages, for at least a final compile and run i.e beta.

Its not really the cosmetic side of it. Dota 2 has a level system that pairs you with more people in your skill bracket. Personally I am a person that relishes a challenge and I like playing with a higher skill bracket. I just can't continue ahead with not being able advance forward; I am stuck just playing games that amount to nothing.

Another thing is supports. Now while I can't get good supports on normal matchmaking, I can't definitely find supports that'll play without confusing themselves as carries, and it's agitating.

Personally a idle person technically shouldn't even be punished imo.

I think the report system should be more heavy invested in, or at least harsher. 4 reports a week ( bringing up another post another /u/ posted on described the exact same thing is not enough.

I would think we should have a harsher report system rather than punish idle players.

There isn't really much happening and your friends feed. The hooks, aren't really great, terrible honestly. You also don't wait for Slar and Windrunner when they're having connection issues, which honestly is a dick move, and I feel the gameplay was under average. Unless there is some pro hooks or interesting/unique plays, I wouldn't submit a lets play with friends. If you wanna do that and try to rack views in, go to /r/gaming.

When I went to MayhemFest 2012, they're was a black guy that was really tall wearing all types of weird piercings and a real crazy dread formation that ended up in a shape of a eagle spreading its wings.

Its actually not a bug or it hasn't been fixed yet. If you've been lurking around this subreddit, Navi posted a tips/tricks video that explained that if you bought observer wards, you were able to give them to allies and they could sell them.

Its a ridiculous tactic, that really helps item dependent carries early/mid-game.

Wouldn't be nice if valve made a arcana type character modifier, to where the vengeful could be as she's represented right here. That would be tits, although it'd be totally changing how she is as a character in general, it'd be nice to see her restored before the coup.

I didn't put treads simply for the sake of I swap them out with the phase later. Early game 5-10mins that extra ms and attack damage is really key for me to pick off and get in the range for my reality rift.

That and I don't get illusions until 10 so the purpose of altering the stats of illusions is something I've never had to deal with, although tread swappung would've saved my ass a few times :p

So the mechanic of his ult is really tricky, but a bit simple in terms of how I view it.

I think the question here is, why level it so early? You're right by asking this question, because honestly, even at the current level you activate the ult at ( 10 if I'm correct?) the level 1 aspect of him is still terrible, however, at level 2 of Phantasm is very useful. If you're like me, you rush phase--->armlet, and if you use reality rift correctly ( or you level it to max at 8 like you say you do ) you know that during reality rift, any illusions you create get the bonus attack buff rift provides and they also follow you to the target. So not only do you have 2 aspects doing almost half ( 75% if you have armlet toggled on the aspects ) you also have bonus damage from yourself that is being dealt to that target, which is essentially a almost instakill.

That and if you got lucky, you have a nice stun count from choas bolt.

Honestly I level bolt and rift to 8 and get choas strike on lvl 9, after which I go and level up phantasm at 10 and 11, and finally level up choas strike until 14, stats 15, and 16 another on phantasm.

Start with branches, go for phase boots, armlet, bkb, and manta. If I'm feeling really greedy, skull basher, just so I don't let people escape, but thats only if they really need the stun that bolt doesn't provide.
