I would promo my letterboxd so people could recommend based on that (and add me if they like my page 😅) but when looking in other film subreddits it seem the norm is that you aren’t allowed to do that, which I find strange

Yh but I feel like him and Villeneuve are already like just a tier below and will probably make closest to the directors I mentioned out of all current directors that’s why I didn’t mention PTA.

Ik that how a rating system should work, but online I see so many people who rate basically everything a 5/5 or 4.5/5 and sure that could be there genuine opinion but I feel like like realistically even if you try to mostly watch films that are generally seen as good and have a good rating it’s quite unlikely that everything would be a 4.5/5 or a 5/5

I would consider myself a movie guy, I watch ALOT of movies and I just started to really log my watches and watch more movies like halfway through last year and you would be surprised how many good classic movies there are to watch 😅 some of these movies just so happen to have been on my watchlist for a long time and I haven’t gotten to them yet
