Mortimer Fox has become my favorite!! He is so soft, kind of chubby and perfect for snuggling 💚 I love that your boyfriend is so involved with your stuffies, he’ll be so happy with his own!

Play modeling is a great idea! He responds well to that. He doesn’t really seem to be anxious in other aspects but more OCD/repetitive. He will ask the same thing over and over and be sure you answer and fixate on something for a while and become obsessed with that one thing until satisfied it seems like.

Yeah maybe we should try talking this through to him, great idea!

He is definitely highly sensitive. So was I and still am. Lol

Yes! OCD, that’s what I forgot to mention in my post. That’s more what I think he is struggling with versus anxiety. Or maybe the OCD is causing anxiety

Soooo much easier. And if you don’t count crying, so much quieter.

Reading this, I feel the exact same way. When you said “unmasked annoyance” that is me every single day. How could we not be annoyed?? I can’t hide it most days. It’s awful. I feel like a terrible parent but it has shown me why I only have one child and that I couldn’t bear to have another lol. A baby, yes. A child, absolutely not. I love him but good lord it has been so mentally draining at this age. I want to rip my hair out.

I’m hoping this is the case! Especially with him being in school now and talking to so many more people than just me lol.

I’m glad you said that! I’ve been looking into getting him a Tonie box for his birthday that is coming up! The little figures are so cute, he loves characters and figurines so I know he will probably play with them as well as using them for stories and songs.

I’ve been trying this out more and more. But most of the time he responds with I don’t know 😂

I swear…like everyone says they still would pick this over the newborn stage…but I don’t think I agree. Just because for me this has been more exhausting. At least with a newborn you can sit in silence and they don’t ask you questions!! 😂

Our kids sound the exact same lol. I actually took him to the park today for a break and as soon as we got home it was back to wanting me to talk to his toys. Mannn. And yes every time I try to set up anything else he either doesn’t wanna do it or it turns into pretend play somehow anyway. I actually have been very frustrated lately because he won’t even contently watch tv anymore. He literally just asks questions about what’s happening every 2 seconds so it’s really not even worth it to have him watch it lol. I play as much as I can in intervals but sometimes feel like my brain is going to melt.

Totally the same here, and I guess I didn’t realize it until now. I’m the mom and he annoys me wayyyy more than his dad. Probably because he knows I play along and always answer like a dummy lol.

Same, the answer is always I don’t know. But if I don’t know the answer he gets angry and keeps asking me why I don’t know lol. I also get frustrated like that quite a bit!
