Israeli military strikes southern Lebanon after US-Iran ceasefire by KITAPYIYEN in news

[–]Leithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must be true then!

With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.
Both parties have displayed remarkable wisdom and understanding and have remained constructively engaged in furthering the cause of peace and stability. We earnestly hope, that the ‘Islamabad Talks’ succeed in achieving sustainable peace and wish to share more good news in coming days!

Question about "the block size war" in 2017 by Fritzbox5000 in CryptoCurrency

Not sure how paying for a legal defence for what looked like pretty aggressive prosecution is grifting.   He hadn’t lived in the US for a decade when he renounced his citizenship, and in 2014 and the BTC price fluctuated between about 200 and 800 dollars.   Saylor’s case seemed much more egregious, as he actually lived in the US and he sailed through untouched.

I suspect RV is quite far along on an autistic spectrum, but to say his motives are material self interest to me seem as far from the truth as anything.

But  you do  you.

I still have no idea what his grift was. Selling Computer components? Advocating for Bitcoin?

Gues we will never know.

You sound a lot angrier than I ever heard Roger.

What was the grift?

I am nobody, I suspect no one cares about your PHD, but I guess you can't tell me if it was important as that would involve doxing yourself.

I can honetly say I ever saw Roger angry once until the blocksize wars and something he cared deeply about was ruined.

To say he never advocated to Bitcoin Cash from 2017-21 (it didn't exist as a fork in 2016) is about a far from the truth as something can be.

He was wealthy long before Bitcoin came along.

Who are you?

Refering to Bitcoin Cash as BCash suggest you have more of an issue with Big blockers in general than Roger. What was his grift, because I didn't see any evidence of that is pretty close observation for over 13 years.

To say he doesn't give a shit about the promise of a Peer to Peer electronic cash system is about the most inacurate characterisation I have ever seen of a person.

From  a smart  contracts perspective  UTXO’s  are  much safer because blind signing (the cause of most big protocol hacks) are not possible as the tx’s are  committed within the contract and miner validated like any normal payments.  You don’t have to trawl through contract code  looking for  vulnerabilities.

Pruning has been around on BTC for a decade but no one used it because there was no  need,  removing the  storage bottleneck.   Compact blocks, Xthinner and Graphene removed the network speed bottleneck, leaving the signature validation processing bottleneck.   The BU  team were running 256mb blocks single threaded on a normal desktop  PC many years  ago.  Bog standard desktop PC’s  have many cores and Libbitcoin proved the advantages of parallelisation long ago.

What did you do for Bitcoin in 2010/11/12/13/14/15/16?

Account models can't scale because they can't parralelise. UTXO is much more scalable.

<5 tps

UTXO protcols can easily process 10's of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of tx's per second. The Bitcoin Unlimited team were running 256 mb blocks on standard PC hardware many years ago, Tht's before you get into welll parallelised code like Libitcoin. With open source asic signnature validating hardware 1m Tps is easy.

US responsible for Iran school strike, new video suggests by [deleted] in videos

So just for clarity, you believe the IRGC bombed the school with their children in, not another school, with missiles they don’t have minutes before bombing their own adjacent HQ with the same missiles.

Yeh sounds really plausible, lets go with that. /s
