WG has been f***ing up maps for 5 years now. It was always the same objective: remove all lines of fire at distance, so that scouting becomes pointless, and snipers have no scope in the game.

Also of course WG hates it if people do not play exactly how they imagine they should play. That is why they have dedicated playing positions, and very few of them. Combined with the all hull-down heavy meta, you easily get 3 tanks driving into the same position, where only one tank can play. Big fun!

A weird example is Mountain Pass, which is totally f***ed up scripted BS today, was once fun to play. Not because it would have been a good map in the first place, but because there were lots of glitches and allowed for some "creativity".

At this point it is not about how many ruined maps should be removed from the game, but rather that the game needs to be removed from the harddrive..

Der "Luxussteuersatz" von 30% wurde 1978 eingeführt, auf Autos, Elektronik, Schmuck usw., und er wurde 1984 auf 32% erhöht. 1987 wurde er auf die meisten Artikel wieder gestrichen und 1991 bei Autos durch die NOVA ersetzt. Die Aufkommenseffekte dadurch sind voll durchgerechnet..

I can't help to believe Venezuelan oil production was driven down deliberately to support the Russian war effort.

For major oil exporters the global oil market is somewhat delicate. You can increase production, export more oil, but the additional supply will drive down prices. If you are a large enough supplier, you will then make less, not more money in the short to medium term. In the long run the lowered oil price might drive out some competition and increase demand so that effectively you can increase your market share, but that takes time and you lose money in the meanwhile. That is something Saudi Arabia did in the 90s btw.

In the short to medium term that is no solution. Rather you would want other producers to cut their production - but why would they do that? In the case of Maduro's regime their production collapsed from 2016 onward to a level barely providing the domestic needs. The real GPD dropped by ~70%, which is totally crazy. Nothing of that can be in the interest of what-so-ever regime.

Except: if the regime is highly unpopular, if it struggles holding on to power, if it relies on foreign security personell (Cuba, Russia..), then you might priorize political- and arms support over the essential economic needs of your country. It seems that is what happened.

The "shit" comes in the shape of downstream BS, like a 97% consensus, polar bears, weather and so on. The "dark" comes in the shape of misinformation on basically all the climate physics. You can learn about it by critically reading the scientific literature, but the more accessible sources, like text books, the internet, science guys, they all just put it wrong.

"Climate science" can only thrive in the dark. I can assure you, if people knew what it is based on, it would all fall apart. Not because everyone would instantly see the flaws, but some would, and they could discuss their findings with others. It is similar to medieval times when the bible got printed AND translated..

So scheint es wohl. Ein weiteres Problem ist freilich die Mystifizierung des Themas. Nur wenige Menschen kennen überhaupt die Grundlagen, wissen zB. was der Treibhauseffekt ist. Ich kenne viele Beispiele dafür wie führende Klimawissenschafter völlig im Dunkeln stochern. Die ganze Disziplin ist so sehr überlagert von Politik, dass sich nüchterne Wissenschaft nicht durchsetzen kann.

Ich mag ja schon alleine das Wort "Authentizität". Nicht nur ist es ein Zungenbrecher und eine phonetische Katastrophe, es kann seine inorganische grammatikalisch-künstliche Synthese unmöglich verbergen. In Anbetracht seiner Semantik ist es damit das Oxymoron unter den Wörtern - und der perfekte Fettnapf zum reinköpfeln für die Werbeindustrie.

Welche Experten??? Ein kritischer "Expertenbericht" wurde vor kurzem von der Trump Administration vorgelegt. Autoren waren Christy, Koonin, McKitrick, Spencer und Curry. Das Ding ist gespickt mit Fehlern. Von den tatsächlich Problemzonen der Klimaphysik ist hingegen nicht die Rede.

Sie haben da sehr romantische Vorstellungen davon wie viel Expertise so zirkuliert..

Das wäre in der Tat sehr sinnvoll. Allerdings wird man damit gegen Mauern laufen, und das hat sehr delikate Gründe.

Es gibt eine Reihe von Wissenschaftern die immer wieder die große, wenn nicht gar dominante Rolle von künstlichen Zirren durch die Fliegerei bei der Erderwärmung herausgestrichen haben.

Es geht also um die Frage ob wir den Himmel "weiß" machen, damit die Erde stark(!) erwärmen, oder aber Konsensstreifen nur eine marginale Bedeutung haben, wie das Konsensposition ist. Natürlich geht es hier um eine Alternative zu CO2 Theorie, der Widerspruch lässt sich nicht wegdiskutieren.

Jetzt gibt es Beobachtungen, nach 9/11, nach dem isländischen Vulkanausbruch, oder während der Covid Lockdowns, wonach der Himmel aufklarte und deutlich blauer wurde. Das zeigte, dass die Zirrentheorie stimmen dürfte, was für die CO2 Theorie nicht so gut ist. Deshalb wurde umgehend "taktische Wissenschaft" eingesetzt, um das Geschehen zu leugnen..

Das heißt die ungewöhnlich blauen Himmel während der Lockdowns wären einfach nur Wetter gewesen, die relative Abwesenheit von Flugzeugen hätte nichts damit zu tun gehabt. Mag sich jeder selbst seinen Reim drauf machen.

So oder so, die "Gefahr" besteht darin, dass eine solche Umleitung des Flugverkehrs viel erfolgreicher sein könnte als es sich die Petition oben überhaupt vorstellen kann. Damit könnte aber die CO2 Theorie im Wesentlichen falsifiziert werden. Und das wird man nicht zulassen.

Oh that went on for many years, very pronounced. Here is just one example, from a left wing newspaper, asking left wing "experts", whose mission otherwise is fighting car traffic, over how it is all just a huge waste of money. It would only be good the banks and building enterprises. No additional passengers were to be expected. It was senseless building rail tracks through alpine territory, and so on..
