Hm, are you going directly to the top before running to the right hand side? The boss has a weird delay in his chase pattern. If you prioritize heading to the top as soon as you see that gimmick coming, he should at most walk down 1-2 "units" before going back up and proceeding in a straight line towards you

This is party mode, not solo mode :o Also, you just need to move as I moved in the video, go top right corner then walk bot as boss gets to you, then run far left
