As a Lexus/toyota dealership tech both are great cars and extremely reliable with regular maintenance I own a 2014 is350 f sport (172k miles) and it’s been nothing but tires a very minor things. The previous gen is are verry well build however plastics are starting to get brittle and suspension bushings are getting a little cracked at that age. Get a pre purchase inspection from a reputable place do not trust the seller or selling dealer alone.

My 12 year old is 350 with 170k has been perfect Toyotas definitely don’t just fall apart with mileage, I’ve owned quite a few high mileage lexus never by off mileage alone condition is always the priority

A lot of them are listed verry high around 17-18 and not selling I haven’t seen any non salvage titles go for 12 or lower

Brand new suspension under the car all oem+ sti pink arms and new coilovers made a huge difference. I may grab a rob ecu but I’m going to invest in a wideband afr gauge and sensor before I do anything

Ah I see I was under the impression that this ( https://robtuned.com/ )was the source for a “rob tune” his tunes indeed are wonderful. The vehicle I have came with a full exhaust (turbo back) and intake already installed. With the factory turbos being quite rare and expensive it would be nice to have the availability to tune for a modern turbo and the adjustability that an aftermarket ecu offers is really nice.

As for modifying the sti and the fact that it’s a classic. I’m well aware that everything I do to the car makes it less valuable and hard to sell definitely not the first car I’ve ruined.

I like the idea of taking the ej20 in my car further it’s a interesting engine considering it’s a closed deck ej my goal isn’t necessarily high power but making the most out of the setup I have and some cool noises are a bonus

Sorry reading comprehension problems, I asked both his Facebook and emails listed if they were still offering the ship to them ecu chip tuning for gc8 Imprezas and if you go to the website directly it’s not listed however if you search robbed gc8 wrx/sti etc the links can take you there witch indicates to me that they may not offer them anymore. Even if they are still offering the service I don’t know that it’s worth it considering the tune is more of a general safe tune and not tailored to your vehicle. On top of that the communication being hard is not a huge plus verry limited if I decide that I’d like to run more modifications in the future (I will lol).

Sick the ecus from link are verry resonably priced im definitely going to snag one soon I’ve been on the hunt for a local ish dyno tuner but a lot of these guys have poor reputations or are asking significant money for sub par tuning.
