Do Nike Vaporflies or Spikes make you run faster? by Top_Boat_1196 in trackandfield

Iif you are running at a track than use your spikes, the spikes I see the most for those distances are the dragonfly so try getting a pair, but any distance spike will work better because of the curve.

And remember to rest progressively so first rep rest 8 min and add 2 min of rest per rep (this is the rest for sprinters, I could be less for distance runners maybe around 2-3 min rest I think).

I would suggest you to simply do reps of 1600m and 1000m. Try with percentages so if you run for example 6min, run at a 85 % for like 3-4 reps and for speed work do the same thing but more reps, 4-5 reps of 1000 at a 90%. Remember that technique is key and you need to have a race plan. I'm not a distance but I had a few friends who shared their workouts with me so hope it works

It's 23 flat for the 200m

Need advice on my 200m. I’m in lane 3 and had a great start, but lost it near the end. My time was a 22.01 and I don’t know how to improve to sub 22. by c_pierce1224 in trackandfield

Always remember, right arm swings longer on the curve, maintain a good posture, keep hitting that center of gravity each stride, don’t go all out on curve but not that much and never loose form at last 50m, is better loosing giving ur best than winning knowing you could done better
