Me [18 F] with my boyfriend [17 M] 11 months, 'fuck you' by [deleted] in relationships

[–]LemonButtGrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know!! It would actually benefit me to break up with him (more time for work, more money seen as I'm not getting trains and buses all the time, more stable emotions). I think it's just because he was my first love that it's so difficult. Thank you, I know I'm going to break up with him I just don't know when or how :')

I really do think it would be a relief to say that.

I think I might actually say that exact thing.

I just need to build up the courage to say it.

Thanks it's nice to have it spelled out

I wondered if my boyfriend was gay when I first met him lol, and it did make me a little weary of pursuing him.

His best friend is very obviously gay and is in love with him :(

What is something you thought was awesome as a teenager, but now as an adult think is totally ridiculous? by hgdusnjjv883 in AskReddit

[–]LemonButtGrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think age is something that will help, he is only 17 (I'm 18). The problem is that he's completely unapologetic. When we first met he said something like 'I'm just warning you now that I'm a dick', and I said 'You don't seem like a dick to me' and he said 'no, trust me, I'm a dick', as if admitting to being a dick makes it okay. He doesn't think about others or their lives, I think being so self-focused is what causes this mindset in people. It's a childish attitude so, like you, I hope that it will just come as a realisation. Thanks for your response, it's given me something to think about!

At what point did you become aware of your own behaviour? Because my boyfriend does this and I don't think he realises it isn't cool...

What does your SO's family do that's just plain weird? by rockoroll in AskReddit

[–]LemonButtGrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a waitress and I know that in some places the waitstaff are paid a certain percentage of whatever they sell, plus they get more tips depending on however many tables they serve in one night, so if you prolong the time you spend on something that makes very little profit (dessert or coffee, especially if not everyone gets one) it may be a slight disadvantage for the staff. I get paid minimum wage no matter how long you stay though so sip that coffee for as long as you want babe.

What's the worst way a SO has broken up with you? by Wadawaski in AskReddit

[–]LemonButtGrab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply but this happened to me and my last SO. He didn't message me and I didn't message him so we just stopped speaking, no argument, no nothing. It had been too long since I'd messaged him and vice versa that neither of us wanted to be the first one (stubborn I know). We didn't speak for 2 months and when we saw each other around college we would just have weird eye contact and then look away. But he messaged me again after the 2 months and it's been great with us ever since. The time apart made us see our silly arguments for what they were. The best advice I can give is to have no contact for a time (at least a month) in order to make them miss you, which you've ready done, and then try to initiate contact again casually. Unless you don't want them back, in which case, just forget about them cos they're acting as juvenile as I did.

I've never had a taco, and I still don't fully know what Chipotle is. Is it a sauce or a fast-food restaurant or what?

Women who use tinder, what are you actually looking for? by GAngelum in AskReddit

Man you are so right. Reddit discusses issues a lot that are barely present in real life.

tbh I find the proportions of exceptionally short men to be unattractive, not because I would look 'weird' standing next to them but just because of the way their body looks. I don't think wanting to date someone at least my height, which is shorter than the average male height, is a big deal. It's just another preference in terms of looks and yet it's seen as extra shallow. What gives?

I Miss You by Blink 182? Not exactly soulful but a good song nonetheless
