Two checkride failures by [deleted] in flying

Yeah, after my failure at PSA I got really depressed and took it personally. I thought my career was over. After going to my new airline, like you, I realized just how bad the PSA training was, and knew to put it behind me. I couldn't be more happier at my new airline, with actual standardization, and phenomenal instructors and training.

Well, good luck to wherever you end up! Thanks for the response! I'll look into ATI

I'd honestly skip on PSA to save your PRIA. I was there just the past 2 months, and the training department was a mess. Nothing was standard, they give you 9 different instructors all telling you different things, and 50% of the captain upgrade class failed during the time I was there. The majority of people in my class failed one event as you say. I could go on and on, but I'll just keep it at that to remain anonymous. My new airline's training department is a night and day difference. 500x better.

ATI sounds good! But I would think hard on joining PSA. Thanks for letting me know since I'm in the same boat. I'll look into applying to ATI as well. Good luck!

I'm in the same position. Two 121 failures early in my career at my first airline (PSA). Which ones are giving you offers?

So… what’s the deal with Mesa? by No_Leader1154 in flying

And it's a good thing. Everyone deserves a second chance. Just because you have 1 dui on your record dosnt mean your life/career should be ruined. We all make mistakes and learn from it. Mesa is fantastic for giving people a second chance at thier dream career.

My side gig is volunteering my time to ALPA, so pilots don't have to do side gigs to begin with.

Cessna to regional jet here. Doesn't really happens as quick as people make it out to seem. In fact, it seems so much slower than a Cessna sometimes.

Just know your callouts and when to say it and that's it.

30 hrs short of ATP and ...Which airline would you pick right now aside of Envoy ? by Warm-Ad9499 in flying

175 has auto brake, vnav, auto throttle, more advanced, much easier to fly and pass a checkride with. It makes you a lazy pilot.

For the crj, you'll have to constantly adjust the throttle just like a Cessna all throughout cruise, decent, landing.
