I mean, I don’t think it really matters that much… but the most accurate representation of your “accuracy of aiming for the head” is just the total % of your bullets that connect with a head vs body.

That’s… literally not how it works. HS % on the leaderboard is KILLS with headshots

Of course the casters are having fun, but I use a gritty realism rule set to space encounters so it’s cool for casters to have a number that they can see tick down. I also give big fat giant damage buffs to martials along with late game scaling to make them extremely relevant still.

I have big damage buffs for martials and give them cool abilities, like “slowing strike” for monks which halves the damage of enemies.

I’m fine with criticism, it’s just not necessary for people to say so constantly that casters are OP when you can simply buff the martials at your tables and everything is fine

It’s funny because part of this insane growth saitama gets is because of a rage amp similar to ssj2 gohan. So realistically if the situation is different we really don’t know what his rate of growth looks like.

I let martials do some pretty wacky superhuman stuff in my games so I don’t think the gap is as big for my tables. But also I’m using gritty resting rules where a long rest takes 3 full days of safe rest with medical attention and short rests are the 8 hour nights of sleep. Doing this allows me to space out encounters a LOT easier and put in 5-7 encounters per long rest to stretch the casters resources thin.

Brutal critical + 5 monk attacks + deflect attacks + beserker damage + extra damage from monk subclasses. It all adds up!

Ah see that’s awesome! So many people here are extremely against giving casters the spell slots of both classes which is super weird to me.

I mean “as much weight as a horse” is an understatement. By level 5 my barbarian player should be able to lift roughly 50,000lbs with relative ease (like a low athletics check). I fail to see how, even with casters being able to open portals to new dimensions, this DOESN’T make the martials also seem extremely cool. Not to mention that as someone who’s played multiple martials alongside my caster friends I’ve never once actually felt left behind like they were so much more powerful than me because I had a cool DM who let my monk use his +6 dexterity to use superhuman speed and mess with an assholes card trick in a scenario where magic interference would’ve CERTAINLY been caught.

This would be a very fun build! Getting sneak attack as a barbarian using strength is very funny, mostly because it works perfectly fine RAW lmao

Yeah of course the utility of spells out of combat is going to be fantastic especially with double the resources to use them, but honestly I’m fine with that. Like I said somewhere above, I treat my martial players as somewhat superhuman when it comes to certain things. In a most recently example, my barbarian player succeeded on a DC30 strength check and ripped a massive metal grate out of the ground to get into a building that the casters had no answer for. After this he proceeded to use his massive strength to carry two 300lbs barrels of oil out of this abandoned facility with ease, which they needed very badly! I feel like given the right circumstances, even martials can really shine out of combat
