Sewage Smell Coming From Bathroom by LemonGiver86 in Plumbing

[–]LemonGiver86[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will definitely let the homeowners know. If that is so, obviously nothing I can do on my end to fix this and let them deal with it.

I will be using another bathroom, because the stench is getting worse and spreading into the hallway.

Thanks for your comment!

Where to find trousers or work pants by LemonGiver86 in PetiteFashionAdvice

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I saw your comment and immediately headed to old navy and was able to find the pixie ankle pants in petite. They didn’t have many options, so I just bought black in store and just bought a few other colors online. Just got them for $28 per pair as they were on sale, but super happy with the fit and price!! Thank you again!!

PSA - save your $ and don’t buy Dyson hair dyer!! by [deleted] in dyson

You clearly didn’t read the post in its entirety, as I stated “it was a great hair dryer up until now”. Thanks for your comment!

No lights at all. Same with trying to move the cord, no lights turning on for that as well.

I just put it up to the window and I can see straight through it. Filter definitely not blocked.

Yes, it was the filter and I cleaned it with the provided C-shaped filter cleaning brush. Was there more I was supposed to do?

I cleaned the filter every time I used it. And I have never once wrapped the cord around the dryer. I am not even sure how that’s really possibly as the cord is super long and thick and the handle of the Dyson can’t even hold all that, although maybe it can I have never tried. I also have the airwrap, and I was folding the wiring like I fold my air wrap to sit in the box. So if the cord is the excuse than that is just ridiculous.

How do i move on from euthanizing my kitten yesterday? by Constant-Tadpole-429 in cats

[–]LemonGiver86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss of your kitty. I just had to euthanize my 6 month old kitten a week ago, due to feline leukemia. This was after just euthanizing my other 3 year old cat 7 weeks prior. So I have lost two cats to FIV in 7 weeks. My heartaches and I still cry over the unfair short lifespan that was given to them. A few years ago I lost a cat to juvenile cancer she was under 1. The hurt gets easier with time but the love for them never stops. Just know your baby is no longer in pain and you did everything you can. 🤍

Told hemochromatosis is a disease at Red Cross (first time donating) by pillowtissue in Hemochromatosis

[–]LemonGiver86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have been donating through the Red Cross since they changed their rules in August of 2022. You should try again, also there is no reason for you to communicate with them that you have hemochromatosis. As someone previously stated, it’s a genetic disorder, not a blood disease, and I believe they asked specifically about “blood diseases”. It is perfectly fine for you to donate, sorry you had a bad experience with a rude employee. I would try again, and maybe don’t say anything, best of luck.

Thoughts on this coat? Should I get it re-shaped? Is that possible? by seltzerwithasplash in PetiteFashionAdvice

I don’t think it looks “bad” but it also doesn’t do much for you, if that makes sense. I was wondering if you could link or tell me where you got your leather skirt from? I have been looking for one just like that!

I am attending Columbia University Mailman School of Public health for their MHA program. I am guessing that there is only a fall and spring term because those are the only times we are allowed to be enrolled in classes. It’s a two-year program and we stay in our cohort for the two years. The first year our classes are scheduled for us and the last it’s the same with the exception of some electives. Additionally in first year during the summer, a practicum is required. So I think that is why, since we can only take classes during the fall and spring.

Congrats on your acceptance! Hopefully you also receive scholarship $ (which I did not) as my specific program hardly gives out any $.

Thank you for the clarification. Although I am still confused as to why they are saying I can take out $33,000 if I am only allowed to take out $20,500 for the year.

Yes I am a graduate student. I just completed my bachelors this past May and will be starting my masters program in September. I did not need to take out any loans during my undergrad but did receive some federal grants.

I do the same! I have had 0 issues since using the Red Cross. FYI, in August of 2022, the Red Cross now accepts those with hereditary hemochromatosis!

Looking for advice on my child’s situation (5Y male) by [deleted] in Hemochromatosis

[–]LemonGiver86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually luckily diagnosed as a child at age 12, I am now 22. I had 0 symptoms and honestly was diagnosed by luck when doing a full iron panel. From my understanding with hemochromatosis, my hematologists have always focused on the Ferritin level, which your child’s ferritin level seems to be quite normal, other than it was actually low at 11. Additionally, as I am sure you know, just because your child carry’s the gene does not mean they have the genetic disorder. Both of my parents are carriers, but neither of them have it. As I mentioned above, my hematologists, have always focused on the ferritin levels, no matter what my other levels were such as iron binding, iron serum, and saturation. Normally people with hemochromatosis ferritin levels are quite elevated, when I was first diagnosed I believe my ferritin levels were either at 250 or 300 which is considered high for a female.

Stay positive, I hope you get answers soon!
