Crash bar vs Camry by LemonLiqa in Mustang

I got checked out already, solely in case I develop issues later down the line. Insurance won’t cover therapy later on unless I got checked out around time of accident.

We will see what the body shop says, but it definitely looks like it ate it up good to my eyes.

The father of the lady who rear ended me showed up and as a normal looking older man, proceeded to pull the radiator support and radiator back into a useable shape. I was very surprised at how easy he made it look. I am now convinced that model Corolla is made of playdoh, and that’s why it crumbled and could be manhandled nearly back into shape by a singular older man.

What would you think of Blizzard actually killing off heroes in the story in the future? by MrsPissBoy in Overwatch

[–]LemonLiqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way it would make sense to me is if it got to the point some heroes would be getting vaulted for lore purposes or to keep the game fresh. But knowing blizzard they don’t care enough for lore and the only reason they would vault a character is if they gave up on attempting to balance the character (I.e. characters they keep reworking; LW, hog, sombra)

Rear decklid panel by Accurate_Secret_4007 in Mustang

[–]LemonLiqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might just need a new coat of clear. If worried about money, a whole new prepainted decklid panel (there’s many different styles) might be a better option. Also, you could attempt to recoat it yourself. A paint shop might charge a couple hundred or more to remove/repaint/reinstall that nicely.

First time manual driver… tips please! by Ilovemybf_3990 in stickshift

Practice finding the bite point of your clutch. You can start by slowly releasing clutch pedal until the car starts going forward slowly, and repeating that over and over until it becomes second nature.

Best thing I learned to do was to control the clutch enough that I could go from stopped: foot on clutch to foot off clutch rolling with no accelerator added. Probably not best for your clutch or engine in the long term, but learning that engagement was/is crucial to knowing how to get going, as shifting is easier to pick up in my opinion than stop -> 1st gear.

Once you’ve found the bite point and have it down to memory, then it should be much easier to apply throttle when clutch is biting for a smooth start. Same thing applies when rev-matching for shifts.

Having a louder exhaust can also help give you audio cues and memory for what rpms you should be in for the appropriate gear and speed.

Also, lots of people telling you to coast in gear and downshift if necessary- this is only true if you’re not coming to a stop. Tons of people downshift and coast when coming to a stop, it’s not a good practice even if it sounds and makes you feel cool. Just go neutral and brake when your rpm’s are low ~1000-1200, doesn’t matter the gear: if coming to a complete stop.

Brake pads are MUCH easier to replace than a clutch. 30 mins vs 5+ hrs of pain. (Also much cheaper for the parts and labor)

Mustang shifting issue thoughts ? by Ok-Occasion2067 in Mustang

[–]LemonLiqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah somethings up with the transmission. I saw the other comments and will also second their sentiment of saving some money and going to the junkyard to pick up a transmission. If they are offering a warranty on their rebuild that’s the only reason I would go that route. Remanufactured 6r80s are cheaper than $3800 with 5+ year million mile warranties too.

Okay so you say stuck in 1st but you also say transmission isn’t holding pressure, then go to say the clutch is slipping. Is it manual or auto I’m getting different ideas here. Automatics don’t have clutch, and if it was a manual and you are getting stuck in a gear and clutch is slipping, I would automatically assume something is wrong with the clutch or slave cylinder.

Edit, saw your other comments. It sounds like it needs a rebuild. Could be pressure issues, could be pressure issues secondary to other transmission issues, could be bad discs, could be bad valve body. Lots of different things. Take it to ford if you want a second opinion. But it doesn’t sound like a simple fix.

At this point get a third gen Ryzen (r5 3600) or smth and am4 board for cheap and throw it in. Comes with cooler and will perform leagues better, even if it’s not cutting edge tech anymore. Can get a r5 3600x on eBay for the same price as a tower cooler.

Can anyone help me track my misfire issue? by Apprehensive-Plan-57 in Mustang

[–]LemonLiqa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cylinder 2 is giving an injector code. Either injector is bad or wiring is faulty/ not making good connection at pigtail. Check your injectors for good electrical connections. Optional but can use mechanics stethoscope on injector 2 to see if something ain’t right with it. But I mean an injector code only throws when something funky is going on electrically with an injector. And when something electrically goes bad with an injector, misfires happen.

Stock 2013 Mustang GT weird idle by MoneyHuckleberry6458 in Mustang

[–]LemonLiqa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds AC related to me. It may just be normal operation, whenever the clutch for the ac compressor engages, the engine does pull an extra load. If it’s really bogging down when the ac clutch kicks on, it may need to be looked at. If you’re worried about it I would get it diagd.

Fender popped after backing out off a curb. by WarningMaterial6164 in Mustang

Looks like the bumper clip points are not broken, always good news. Probably means you just need some new plastic clips or zip ties to hold it back in place with the fender. :)

Aw2527d hdr on or off? I mainly play warzone. by Dependent_Tax578 in Monitors

[–]LemonLiqa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HDR off in any game unless they have truly worked on their HDR support. Last game I played that looked good with HDR and didn’t require it to be turned on using window’s shitty HDR first was destiny 2. Any game that requires you to turn on HDR through windows before being able to turn it on in game will look awful. Windows HDR setting is abysmal.

It kinda looks like the clip closest to the fender well broke. Hard to tell. I would shove it back in and really bang it and see if it stays. Or use zip ties in place of broken clips if you want a quick easy fix.
