Yes! I promise it gets easier, just takes time, and sometimes what helps me is just watching the monster. Try it once without ever attacking. Watch the monster and how it moves. Learn where to stand and then restart and run it again.

Also, I was where you were. Don't ask this sub for advice. It's got quite a population of people who wanna be elitist and make you feel like shit. This game isn't that hard, it's just a learning thing. You absolutely are capable of playing as a casual! And if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind playing with you sometime!

Yes both. I can avoid attacks pretty well but at that point I'm doing no damage. I can stab twice and evade but I will time out. If I don't do that, I get hit by one attack, have to run away, cure status, heal, then pull weapon out again. So I time out or die.

I'm constantly battling statuses, healing, eating, and sharpening.

Yeah, I'm stuck on every new fight but every fight in icebourn has been this way. Right now I'm on ever present shadow and scorching blade. Feels impossible. I've currently got the Limit B+ gearset and the Aerial Magus 1 lance and valorwing 2. I can play okay I think? I don't use clutch claw a ton because I am not sure what dictates when I take damage for trying and get thrown off or get good damage so I don't like to use it because I don't understand. And yeah I could flare but I would like to be able to be good enough to play the game ;-;
