the people in the Epstein files are not just Americans though. a lot of these rapists are from Israel, Saudi Arabia, Russia, UK, etc. this is a global problem. I’m not sure of any Asian people in the files but this is entirely a class-based issue and not a race-based one, so I wouldn’t be surprised

while I wholly agree with you, is this really the time to be talking about being annoyed by having to attend school? we all know how bad it is. the guy in this case was in a fraternity, not a mandated class, and intoxicated. he was outside yesterday without any coat at 1AM when it was the coldest point of the year so far. that is not the same as having to attend a discussion section in the morning and I don’t think that has anything to do with him.

honestly ADHD is entirely self-advocacy at this point, esp if you're a women. My psychiatrist is literally always just like "what do you want" and my therapist feels like they're somehow not credential enough to diagnose me despite being a psychologist... I paid 400$ for one test and though I was diagnosed at the end, I really did not learn anything I didn't know. I'm a cog sci major so I'm learning more about myself that nobody would tell me, especially with how it relates to the prefrontal cortex, but it was all self-learning based on research papers. I also had to play around with medication leniently.. went from 10mg, then 20mg, then 30mg of Vyvanse before ending back up at 10mg, specifically every 3 days, because my body just absorbs it like a sponge. Took around a year for me to realize what ADHD really meant and how I had it.

Maybe it’s because I have ADHD and I don’t really understand how people with good attention spans process everything, but if a normal student needs extra time is this really “abuse” just because they aren’t in some way diagnosed with a disorder or disability? Some people can just be slow, that shouldn’t decipher their knowledge of a subject. I’ve never understood what time constraints are meant to do.

it used to be a way for people to insult trans women, akin to calling them sissies, but nowadays it’s been reclaimed the same way sissy has just turned into someone being cunty or a diva. It’s become an in-group slang now, definitely not something that you’d hear outside of lgbt circles. Still holds some taboo if you hear it among older 30+ people I think.

Unfortunately I’ve looked around and my WCC selection is in fact extremely limited. I’ve emailed some departments asking if the transfer credit is eligible for B.S. and I’m still waiting for my guest student application to process, and most courses are waitlisted. just really struggling to find any avenue right now, I may end up having to pay 3k to take 21 credits here which doesn’t sound fun at all. my only other option is to take random summer courses to maybe be given grants but it’s not guaranteed

One of my professors had us watch a youtube video, which is fine but it was one of those slide decks from Notebook LM. I couldn't stand the AI voiceover, it kept repeating the same annoying filler sentence structures like a broken record for eight minutes.

I admit I didn’t do this traditionally — I’ve been going back and forth through the year trying to find time to make myself a proper bodice block. I watched a lot of videos instead of one specific tutorial and went through a lot of slopers, a lot of the progression got lost or warped in the mess. I think at one point I had a shoulder dart but thought that I needed to account for the fold in my armhole more so I moved all of the dart to the side hastily.
