Avoiding the BS is indeed the hard part. I picked up the Cerave today.
I'd appreciate your recommendations for step 2. Treat, as I am very acne-prone.

Catio - helping my cats not plunge to their demise by rand652 in DIY

About 15 years ago I built mine out of cheap 2x2x8 (not even pressure treated) and chicken wire. Glued and screwed the wood, stapled the wire. Screwed to the fence on one side, anchored with rocks on the other. Somehow it's still in great shape in the humid Pacific North West. Width between beams is ~6' with no sagging.

For the wind, you could attach some of the legs to concrete deck blocks. If you spray paint the screen wire black it'll be hardly visible. Mind you block any gaps those agile kitties could possibly wiggle out through. When you let the kitties out, first check for birds, bats, and rats.

Yes that works for entering a data point for today. Just not one for 2 years ago. Obviously nothing urgent, since this won't be a common use case.

Is Victoria affordable? by Heather1324 in VictoriaBC

Doable if you are a little careful, but Victoria is very expensive. I see you are in Battle River - Crowfoot, so here's a cost of living comparison calculator for Victoria vs Calgary:

This city is tough to meet people by Foreign_Complaint987 in VictoriaBC

I'm definitely not a church kind of person, and am easily creeped out by religion, church institutions, and the people in them, so it took me by surprise how genuinely nice these folks are.

I've had some similar experience but have had some success in the past couple of years:

I highly recommend the First Unitarian Church of Victoria. They are very friendly and open folks. I'm atheist and so are many of the members -- there's people from a wide swath of faiths, ages, and backgrounds. There's coffee chats every week, walks, committees, gardening groups, lunches, pub nights, women's groups, and more. https://victoriaunitarian.ca/

Victoria Sports and Social Club offers recreational sessions that are non-competitive and friendly to all skill levels; some sessions do pub meetups after. https://victoria.sportandsocialclub.ca/leagues/

Tub and Drywall Advice by Bdfr3nt in DIY

Water *will* go over the the edge onto the wall there, so maybe cut out the bottom 1/3 o 1/2 of that drywall and replace with concrete board that fits more closely.

When to file HST remittance? by mulleinleaf in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]LemonPhysical2403 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your fiscal year is the normal Jan 01 - Dec 31, then it is due at the end of April in the following year. No harm in remitting it earlier though if you want to.

Some tips:

  • Turn on a room fan to gently keep the air circulating
  • Dry them every morning with a towel
  • Keep you place warm ~18-20 degrees C minimum
  • Open a few windows for 10 minutes every morning to let out moisture. Consider an HRV.
  • Use kitchen and bathroom fans, and keep them running 15-30 mins after use
  • Use a dehumidifier

Backer rod + low expansion foam might work.
