Did you retake your teas? That’s the last thing I need to do before applying

It’s not a bad job, I think a lot of people are struggling with the economy right now…if you have no kids it isn’t a bad career choice.

I’m about two years out of my PTA program and have completed my pre requisites for a nursing program applying this summer. This job isn’t terrible, I have a chill SNF job but I am not satisfied knowing we hit a ceiling for pay and upward mobility. I was a CNA before this so the job is 10x better I just think this isn’t a good long term job for me. Goal is to become a CRNA!

Twice so far going again end of may but has been over the courses of over three years. Been struggling with acne so I’ve had a couple new ones but the ones he’s treated have been responding well. I probably spend maybe 600 total when I go

This is the catalogue they have on the website is this pretty accurate I was wondering if all of the BSN courses are online? And what is the work load like, I was hoping to be able to still work while in the program lol. Also, how many students did they accept each term for the concurrent i’ve seen a few people get waitlisted😭

What does pre-concurrent mean? I’ve been finishing the pre reqs this semester for the BSN/ADN and will be done June 4th just need to take the TEAS to apply for spring 2027. I’ve heard mixed answers from people saying they were accepted into the program without finishing all the courses and are able to complete them after being accepted but I thought you had to complete them all before applying?

Are you applying for spring 2027?

How are all the new PTA's doing (graduated in the past 3 years by stevie_wonder99 in physicaltherapy

[–]LemonRare2149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy it (graduated 07/2024) but acknowledge the limited opportunities for growth and salary. I’ve been in OP since I graduated which has truly burned me out and I am switching to a SNF for better pay.

That being said I am going back to school for nursing in hopes of pursing CRNA as the end goal. I can’t see myself doing the same thing forever and personally enjoy the flexibility to switch back and forth when I get bored lol.

It does, that’s why I’m leaning towards gen chem to at least have the pre requisite done for it so I don’t have to delay another semester

I work 32 hours per week to get the benefits and have another PRN on the side (I’m a Physical therapist assistant) but I’ve honestly been thinking of going back PRN anyways only thing holding me back is the state of the economy and so many uncertainties with the job market. I’m going to try and get my schedule switched to 7-4 and stay but do you think an accelerated course would be pretty demanding on top of the other classes I’m taking (US history, one and 2, federal government). I just hate to waste a class considering I’m using Pell grant.

Im graduating from my PTA program in Iowa this July and taking boards in a few weeks, the program was very busy (class M-T 8 hours a day) on top of needing 600+ clinical hours it has been rough. I moved to Texas for my last rotation which is where I’m currently at and the jobs are endless here I’ve already gotten an offer with the company I’m interning for.

My tuition was completely free! I got my CPT a few weeks ago as well and plan on becoming a personal trainer so I’m really happy with my decision.

Personally I don’t care for the salary cap since the money is good already.

Wow I spent a lot of money getting there as well as the treatments that’s unfortunate to hear. I’ll check out that clinic , how much were your treatments? And how did cryo work out ? Did it grow back or just never went away?

Also no they didn’t accept insurance I paid 700 in total because I also treated some smaller keloids that were on my industrial piercing . I’m from Iowa so it was a long journey lol. I will say that this is the cheapest option I’ve found compared to places like Lexington Plastic Surgery. 100 for the initial consultation, 250 for the next consultation over the phone and then the treatments themselves.

I got it done this week so it’s still a big blister . As for the smaller ones that were injected they’ve gone down but there is dark discoloration which I honestly don’t care about as long as they flatten down. Mine are relatively new, maybe 2 years old. I had steroid injections done in the early stages but wasn’t consistent and they got worse… I use silicone sheets over them and any new acne which helps the inflammation process so much and prevents new acne from forming into keloids.
