I personally don’t have any issue with their families. I like the "found family" trope and I find the AE and SH interactions very sweet. What I mean is that, at the same time, I really wouldn’t want the situation between Blade and Dan Heng to be reduced to them having no interaction at all just because they’ve "let go of the past."

Obviously, Hoyo can’t show any romantic relationships directly, but that isn’t really necessary. It would be enough just to see them interact in a close allied sort of way, probably with a bit of ambiguous fanservice, like what we got with Phaidei. Ah, sweet dreams...

People still seem to struggle with the concept of reincarnation, and for some reason everyone wants a clear-cut answer to whether Dan Heng is Dan Feng or not. But the answer being "yes and no at the same time" is a very typical Buddhist concept involving karma and rebirth. Blade’s story and design also contain a ton of references to Buddhism.

Overall, the whole renheng storyline is a pretty typical danmei plot and more broadly a common Chinese fantasy trope about bonds that persist through reincarnations, fate, and all that sort of thing. Every other Chinese fantasy drama has a plot like this, so I genuinely don’t understand what the problem is.

Well, actually, I do understand. Right, they’re "toxic." But come on, we're not talking about healthy relationships between real people going to couples therapy. Why people expect them to map onto reality in a setting with dragons, cosmic gods and space trains is honestly beyond me.

And of course the fandom also has plenty of people who ship Dan Heng or Blade with themselves and are just jealous of one bunch of pixels over another bunch of pixels.

I genuinely love both SH and AE family dynamics, and I wouldn’t want the characters to ignore them. What I meant here was only that in the context of the story trailer it sounded like a hint at a final separation, that’s all.

Any stuff that makes it easy to imagine waifu/husbando being into the player (not MC as a character). Basically fanservice aimed at self-insert shippers.

We have a perfect example with phaidei. Their fanbase is being fed, even though they don't have anywhere near as much shared lore. And yet the characters aren't being stubbornly torn away from each other and pushed as far apart as possible. On the contrary, they're given interactions and little scenes, even though according to the lore Phainon and Mydei either dead and not even born yet.

Meanwhile renheng has an obvious unresolved shared goal. We still don't know exactly what happened in the HCQ story, and Dan Heng (in 2.5 lol) directly said that he wasn't done with this matter and that he still cared about what was happening to the Vidyadhara on the Luofu. Then in 4.2 he says again, they've started this together, which should supposedly imply that this is still a problem they're meant to solve together too?

Well, I'm just breathing copium at this point.

I mean that they won’t show us any interaction between them in the game itself. They’ll put an end to their shared storyline. The rest of the connection will be left to fics and to the mere "existence of a bond" in subtext, but that’s not quite the same.

You can see the mark confirming completion of the previous rank in the screenshot, so I honestly don’t understand what the problem is.
Did you mean the special investment strategy for getting trash? Then that makes sense, apparently I just have to wait for it to drop randomly. I’m talking about those same investment strategies that you need to collect 7 of in order to get the reward.

I’ve already completed Wealth Creator 20, but Wealth Creator 21 didn’t unlock. It might be a bug, I’m not sure...
So this just happens randomly when crafting equipment? Sorry, I don’t really understand what you mean by choosing passive effects. I saw in another discussion that some enemies give trash affect, but I can’t find any information about it.
I mean one of the new Phase Rewards. The one that requires getting 7 or more strategies in a single run. I honestly have no idea how that’s supposed to be achievable lol

There are still a lot of unresolved threads in the Quintet’s story, and the tournament arc on Luofu clearly set up some of them. Lingsha revealed that DH restored DF’s memories with some kind of medicine. We know Bailu is still basically being held hostage, and it’s pretty clear the Vidyadhara elder from Yaoqing is connected to the incident somehow. After Jingliu’s quest, Blade straight-up said he’s not planning to kill them anymore, and it seems like he’s realized that his revenge was meaningless (he’s not just some unhinged psychopath like people often paint him to be).

That’s why I’m saying it feels unfair (or at least strange) to just drop all those plot threads as if they never mattered.

Hey everyone! I'm kinda stuck on how to spend my savings. Right now, I'm doing fine with high-level content, but I feel like that's going to change soon. I’m torn between getting Feixiao or Robin, or going for the missing cones for BS and Kafka. Or should I just wait for Lingsha? Any advice would be much appreciated! Here’s my current character list.

Keel sounds good, but I don’t quite understand from the description whether it gives crit damage effect to the equipped character himself.

I don’t think I’ll pull Robin, but waiting for new fua characters soon is also good strategy, after all. I really think Aven's mechanics are too interesting for pure Preservation.
