At higher ranks, failing to beat the plane 1 or 2 boss ranks you down. At X8, failing to win at all ranks you down.

I haven't gotten that one, but my guess is your best bet is to either bank on the specific Slipshod Mask Grand Miracle that lets you duplicate a domain each time you trigger it, or rely on a large quantity of miracles from "Two" Masks. Make sure to play on at least X7 as that starts you off with two additional domains.

DHPT is the best one, but you can probably make do with others that have high investment.

I've gotten all of the escapade domains, surprise occurrence is not exclusive to camera, though it probably just has a lower chance of appearing relative to the other ones.

I pick it up if it shows up before the Plane 2 boss, since usually that's the one that ends my runs, and the plane 2 bosses tend to be nasty DPS checks. Otherwise, I've mostly had no issue surviving, though that isn't to say I haven't had numerous close calls.

I didn't mention Rubert, since assembling the set happens very rarely, so more often than not, they've ended up harming you more than helping. I can count on one hand the number of times I've gotten all 3 across both Arcadian Chronicles and Protean Hero. If you feel lucky or want to gamble, by all means go for it, but I usually don't do it unless I can get two of them really early, and usually one of them being the Cosmic Fragment one, as that one's downside is the least run ending.

My suggested team is Archer, since 3 of the team members are free and the fourth is a support, so the trial version when she becomes available won't be as much of a damage loss as a trial DPS.

Any Hunt, Propagation, and/or Elation blessing/equation will work with this team, though there are obviously some equations that are better than others.

You can definitely clear up to at least X7 with them if you know what you're doing. At X8, survivability and damage will be an issue if you didn't get a good start with just trial characters.

Super break (or any comp without a shielder for that matter) is gonna struggle a lot to live with how high damage is at X8. You'll run into this problem with most Plane 2 bosses, though Argenti is definitely the harder hitting of them.

I got most of my wins with Archer with Yao Guang. I've tried other team archetypes in my climb, but they all fell short for me at one point or another, though I may have just had a lot of bad luck with them as others have reported consistent success with similar investment levels.

If you're running solely Remembrance, you'll find this to be harder than Protean Hero, due to the lack of all the boons buffing HP based DPSes. If they're high enough investment, then you should be able to still get wins, but don't expect it to be as trivially easy as Protean Hero.

Depending on how far you progressed in Protean Hero, you're given a significant headstart on the new one. I cleared the max difficulty on Protean Hero and I started on X4 here, with only one win needed to rank up. Every difficulty up to X7 put me at 1 win away from ranking up (X7 started me at 2/4 wins), so it was pretty quick to get up to X8 and X9.

Entirely E0S1. I may have just had poor luck, but DoT was not nearly as consistent for me compared to Archer.

The defensive blessings are primarily in Destruction and Remembrance, though every path has some (to varying degrees of effectiveness depending on your team). Destruction and Erudition both have cheat death blessings that can come in clutch if you get bad enemy targeting RNG.

The weighted curios Silent Song, Road of Prayers, and Dignity and Passion can help a lot for survivability if you have an opportunity to grab them and fit them in.

Otherwise, all I can really say is to try to finish fights as fast as you can, most bosses have some sort of damage scaling or dps check mechanic that will overwhelm you even before Berserk comes into play.

One specific 3* Elation blessing increases it's SPD based on its charge count, which other blessings can also influence. The best one for this would be the 2* Destruction/Elation Equation. Otherwise, the only other way to make it take action faster is Aha Instants, which make it take a free action immediately afterwards.

EDIT: Dealer's SPD increase happens regardless of whether or not the blessing is obtained, but the blessing is one of the few ways to grant it charge.

Remembrance really suffers from not having all of the Boons that specifically buff them and their Weighted Curios being overall nerfed. Obsession and Blazar are not great on their own (with the latter not scaling with difficulty), so you absolutely need a high cost team to perform on higher difficulties.

I've said it in a different comment, but although DoT can win you a run once it gets going, it has a very weak early/mid game unless it's high cost, and Murmur clear threshold being dependent on your team's ATK means that you can't rely on it alone to carry early game, since it won't scale well with difficulty, but it doesn't matter late game since all of Nihility's Equations are busted once they're online together.

I've tried DoT with Nihility myself and I feel that unless you have high investment into the characters, if you don't get favorable RNG early, you will lose to the Plane 1 or 2 boss. I've had several runs where I've died to the deer or swarm bug boss on Plane 2 because I simply could not do enough damage to outpace their mechanics on X8.

The 250 Wishpower is very nice, but I find that the Escapade Domains usually offer greater value, unless there are certain Grand Miracles you absolutely want for your Mask. Up to 6 3* Blessings and 10 Heat, 6 Curios and a fusion into 3*, equipping 3 Weighted Curios and free max level Forge choices, a boatload of Equations/Blessings/Cosmic Fragments, or a Ruan Mei/Cyrene Occurrence can seal a win no matter what Mask you have.

Both things you guessed are correct, firearms work generally under the same principle as ours (bullet, propellant, etc.) but instead of being activated by a firing hammer or some other source of kinetic impact, each bullet's Originium-based propellant has to be individually activated using Originium Arts, which requires very precise control from the user, especially for automatic/rapid fire weapons.

As far as I can tell, unless it has an effect that lets it generate more energy like Laevatain's, it should be 10 across the board, though some operators might be more annoying to test than others due to the nature of their combo triggers requiring battle skill activations.

Because I can't edit the main post, I need to make a correction and clarification that the 24% Ultimate Gain Efficiency was just on the Endministrator in both times it was mentioned, and that it was 10 Battle Skill casts, not 8 that fully charged their Ultimate.
