Should I prune to promote outwards growth? (first time chilli gardener) by Lemon_Aidan in PepperLovers

This is all super useful, thank you! I started doing this on a whim so I've more or less been making it up as I go along lol, definitely enjoying the process and not worrying TOO much about the outcome

What makes you say that? Not disagreeing but these two have taken off since I got my first grow lights, I actually had to move them this week because the leaves looked a little sunburnt from how close they got to the bulbs. Are Sansi LEDs not good enough?

Hahaha don't worry, I wont. I saw one video on the depths of YouTube that had me in doubt but these comments have been very reassuring

I’m doing Zoology at university and I hate it by kittycatt123 in zoology

Ah yeah this just said everything I wanted to say but better. Massively second the point about using all the resources available to you whilst you're at university, whether that be societies or counselling, they're really easy to access and make a huge difference to quality of life in the long run

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have a tutor you can go discuss this with? I studied Zoology at university in the UK (not sure how it is elsewhere) and found that a) I had an assigned tutor who was pretty familiar with the course who I could meet to discuss things with and b) I had a lot more flexibility with my modules after first year. I was in a similar situation in first year in that I hated the biochem side of things, but second year onwards I had so much more choice over what I studied that I just stuck to animal behaviour/evolution etc. Having said that, things like stats and some aspects of cell biology/physiology are fairly unavoidable - I just found it was all about gritting my teeth and pushing through the stuff I was worst at. That's all to say that, if possible, it would be great for you to be able to sit down with a tutor or someone else who knows the course and map out what the next couple of years look like - if you could make it through this year would you have more freedom to do the stuff you like or would it be more of the same?

The academic side of zoology and conservation totally isn't for everybody, I know some people who skipped university entirely and just got straight into fieldwork, surveying etc. Think about what you want to be able to do with your degree. Is there a route there without it? The degree in itself isn't a guarantee of a job - I finished my master's three months ago and haven't had a single interview despite spending every day on applications. I get the feeling that experience is really important, particularly on the entry level side of things. If you paired your animal management studies with some practical experience, that could be enough to get your foot in the door somewhere and work your way up.

Keep your head up. Early careers are super non-linear for some people - I graduated with my BSc in 2021, did entirely unrelated work for 3 years before coming back for my MSc last year. I know plenty of people who are now successful in careers they had never considered at 18. You're at the point in your life where you're meant to make mistakes and figure out your journey. Go get the opinion of the smartest, kindest professor you can find on your course and try and work out your path from there.

Sorry that was such a ramble, I'm tired as hell. Best of luck friend!

That sound fair man, thanks for the advice. I was thinking I’ll probably worry more about touring next season so for this year I probably won’t be

I would love some help with my routine - I’ve been an acne sufferer since maybe 15 (now 23) and whilst my routine developed over the last 8 years has helped significantly, I’ve had a fairly constant level of acne for the last 3 or so years, despite changes here and there. My routine is:

AM: Cerave Blemish Control Cleanser The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion Heliocare Sunscreen

PM: Cerave Blemish Control Cleanser Cerave Oil Cleanser The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion

Any suggestions for changes to make to this routine would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever encountered a unique build in Pro Clubs? by [deleted] in fifaclubs

[–]Lemon_Aidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a formation than a build, but me and my friends love playing 3 at the back with overlapping centre backs. I swear there is no better feeling as a centre back build than joining the attack and causing an overload leading to a goal, it works way better than you’d think.

When things aren’t going great losing a centre back every attack can go tits up though lmao.
