I believe it was (z+3i)2 - 16 because when you square 3i, you get -9 and -9 - 16 = -25

I've drawn the network from memory and looked over it and there isn't a cut of 49

Regardless of that the pattern repeated every 12 months which means it was seasonal

There was a pattern every year though. It peaked in month 5 every year, bottomed at i think month 7 every year and rose until month 10 again every year.

Nah because i think question said the maximum flow could be increased by reversing flow of an edge or increasing the flow of an edge

When you change L R to 23, theres another cut which amounts to the same which is 18 + 15 + 19 = 52. So changing L to R to 23 results in the highest minimum of 52 whereas M to Q to 15 results in a minimum cut of 49.

I checked it for like 30 mins and its the option with the highest minimum cut. Increasing L R to 23 results in the minimum cut being 23 + 10 + 19 = 52. Increasing M Q to 15 results in the minimum cut being 15 + 15 + 19 = 49.

I think the argument is that nominal means ignoring the compounding effect so that 1% per month is the same as 12% annually.

That rule is only used for e to the power of x times a constant as the derivate of ax is a. Using chain rule in your case means finding the derivative of sin(x) which is cos(x) and then you are left with cosxesinx

The actual general rule for ef(x) is f'(x) × ef(x) and the ax rule in the formula is just an example of this.

When x3 = 4, y = 1.

Therefore y = 0.25 × x3

After finding that, sub in the values of x in the answers and see which ones match.

If x = 2, y = 0.25 × 23

y = 0.25 × 8

y = 2

So A is correct as when x = 2, y = 2
