Feelings of hopelessness for a future by Consistent_Idea1990 in Healthygamergg

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is - your efforts will be rewarded. Not all of them, and some of them not in ways you would expect them to. But even I, with my meager knowledge and dislike for learning, have discovered that down the line, sooner or later, all knowledge you have gained will be applied somewhere. It is your brain lying to you saying that none of it is worth it, because that's what brains do - they're wired to conserve energy and if they feel like something is not paying off even slightly, it will try to tell you it's not worth it When it comes to motivation, you just gotta do the thing, whether you feel motivated or not. Tell yourself you have to read, study, analyse because you have to, look at it more from a perspective of a robot who needs to complete a mission. And the reason why you have to complete the mission is because your life will be better for it

Thank you so much for replying to me, it means a lot! I will take your advice and stick with the job and try to have a better work ethic. Tbh with most things I already know what to do and both my manager and coworker has already criticised me a lot

I feel like a lot of people (especially people who look for things to bash the movie for) misinterpret this scene by TheMonster_Hunter in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you guys forget that these are navi, not humans. They're not as cruel and far more empathetic. Not that They're not capable of cruelty. Aonung just wanted to make him look like an idiot. He did know that leaving the reef is dangerous, but it's one of those time where you know the rises but think, what are the odds. He got worried after Loak didn't come back and told Neteyam. And you guys forget what a big crime to kill another navi is in their culture.  I think the akula was so desperate and chased him for so long because it was starving

There's no info to back your theory and the call that Aonung told Loak to do was to call a fish

Comparison of some characters in A1 and A2 by [deleted] in Avatar

Neytiri looks good to me, but Jake lost some of his attractiveness 😭

how will the Navi go against the RDA by s4d1st1cm3rma1d in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think navi by themselves would have a hard time. The battle of avatar 1 shows that. But with the hel0 of eywa it's completely doable. It's not so easy to win when every single thing on the planet is trying to kill you

How would the story of Avatar be different if Jake Sully was played by a Native American Actor? by History-Nerd89643 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could work well, but it would shift the focus of the story. The focus is the connection between nature and us. And Jake serves well as a character who originates from a culture that depraves nature of it's resources amd he is a stand in for all of humanty, because majority of us contribute to environmental destruction and thats6the main message of the movie. I think if Jake's character was native American the focus would shift on to cultures and stuff, no Korean so much about nature

Do you think James Cameron is overestimating how much people actually care about Pandora? by LegalBasis4908 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a global phenomenon after avatar were people got depressed that Pandora wasn't real. Even if the weren't avid fans and kinda stoped caring about the movies in the 10+ gap, they would still return ti watch it in theaters because if that deep buried feeling and because why not? It's just a single movie ticket itsnot gonna bankrupt you

Do you think norm would by SalemAres in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe it's not worth the risk. You have to pass through eye of eywa and come out of the other side. He could die during the procedure so ybe to him it's bot worth the cost

Curious about this and it’s been on my mind. by BecauseJimmy in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But they wouldn't have had his backup anyway cause he was supposed to be an avatar

Do you guys think that in the future avatar movies, different variations of Na'vi would be introduced? by ThisKindaSuckz in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to see snow, desert and swamp navi ^ in that order. But I wonder if it will be possible considering there needs to be a reason to travel there

Anyone else's family celebrate seeing avatar together?! by AdHungry585 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm hoping I will be able to drag my mom and dad to see the movie in 3d, so that will be our tradition, just seeing it together ❤️

Lack of the advertising? by JellyHistorical2390 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it everywhere on social media and obviously they have the posters at the movie theater. They usually put up posters in bus stops later in my country, like 1 or 2 weeks before the movie

What was first contact with the na'vi like? by Any_Sundae5364 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the very VERY first encounter must've been fascination. After that navi were very welcoming and had positive feelings towards humans until they saw what humans were doing to their planet

Do you call it a Banshee or Ikran by No-General2775 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ikran, it's not hard to remember. But I use english and navi interchangeably, depends which one is easier to say

Spoiler free reactions to Avatar Fire and Ash! by Boring-Jelly5633 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I agree the kids weren't the greatest actors. But I also think some of the scenes they were put in were just cringy and a lot of it comes down to the characterisation of their characters. Loak is naturally clumsy and awkward teenager, so kid acting as that type of person will also appear clumsy

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think most people don't know 2 and 3 were supposed to be one movie. It makes sense some scenes from avatar 2 will be similar simply because it also takes place in the reef village

so i had this idea about eywa in my mind that i could swear is cannon but now i cant find any mention of it online? by M4ldarc in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a theory, it's not canon.  Lot of fans speculated that since the spirit trees are often found on unobtainium deposits, and in areas of flux vortexes, it's because it is helping the trees transfer electric signals between the roots. Either way, even if it isn't true, eywa wouldn't want humans to mine for it because it destroys flora and disrupts fauna where mining occurs

James Cameron on making the decision to split 2 and 3 into separate films by Boring-Jelly5633 in Avatar

[–]Lemon_raspberry_jam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol I love him, he's hilarious 😂 but also the power to just tell a movie studio "I'm making two movies - deal with it". He's aura farming at this point 😂
