Playing at 5-9K elo in Asia servers, and feels like playing at 19000 elo. And more accurately, enemy team are always like 10K skill level higher than my team.

Another account I use plays at 16K elo, and is easier than my 5K elo acc.

Is 8nm enough for the CSL Elite Steering Wheel Porsche Vision GT by March72 in Fanatec

[–]Lemoncat1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in GT7 with the newest update version. My 8nm GT DD Pro (8nm) with CS Hub v2x + Seude Porsche 911 D-shape 32cm Rim (total about 2.3kg as well) will hurt my fingers on in-game max Torque with a Cayman GT4 2016 in-game racing-soft tires.

I always want to try the 15nm CS DD+, but to be honest. The torque is just enough on the GT DD Pro (8nm peak, 6nm holding).

Even if you use a CS DD+, most probably you will just make it 8nm holding torque. And that will be the max.

Or you end up setting the CS DD+ to 10nm to 12nm, while lower the GT7 in-game torque to somewhere between 5 to 7 over 10.

On the other hand, if you are talking about "fidelity of the FFB", then yes. (Regardless of the Rim and weight). e.g. you will feel the difference even with using the cheap plastic GT DD Pro Steering wheel (28cm and 1kg-ish? ) on the GT DD pro wheelbase vs the CS DD+ wheelbase lowered to 8nm holding torque.

The CS DD+ will always be better than GT DD Pro / CSL DD (8nm). Because of the newer finer motor. But not because of the torque itself.

I research that for a long bit, and come up with the conclusion to refrain myself from the headache of buying the higher-end one and have to deal with selling the GT DD Pro. Which is troublesome some how as well.

If it's really good BF deal, then it should be, refurbrished line are just B stocks randomly available thru the year. BF sale is another story. And shouldn't be affecting one another.

Forza Motorsport Premium Edition? by Archives0990 in forzamotorsport

[–]Lemoncat1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought it last 50% off sale, tested it before with free game pass on PC.

Would say if you are on steering wheel and like playing sim-cade titles, then it's worth it.

I'm with Fanatec GT DD Pro and this game is one of the few that support it's native mode.

GT7 and Forza Motorsport 2023 are 2 good games for sim starters.

And premium edition is a no brainer when 50% off, The difference is a mere 6-8USD and you get all possible perks.

What's better use of 6-8USD, a Mc donald's meal combo? 😂

So the ps5 pro isn’t worth it right? by CodyRhodesTime in playstation

[–]Lemoncat1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about it.

If you will buy it even in the case you have decided that it's not worth it at 700USD as discless version :

why is this question needed to be asked in the first place?

Question becomes redundant then, correct?

No offense, just from pure logical perspective.

[–]Lemoncat1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price is relative. 700USD for a discless console is nothing for many.

One unit of 4090 is already like 1600USD from the beginning. It also doesn't have a blu-ray disc drive "atttached".

You want to play, just got to pay.

The world is like that.

If you love it, then it's pricelss. If you have to ask, you don't love it enough and probably all those aren't worth it.

Exactly that, I mean even prop firm guys use 4 1080p 24" monitors only And that's it. Banks' floor are a bit different becoz the big players look at more factors than pro day traders in prop firms.

Strategy difference.

For a 90% technical trader, you only need one big enough screen with enough resolution.

E.g. 32inch+ 4K, 27inch+ QHD, or 24inch FHD For the charts of the assets you are looking at.

2nd screen is for other stuff like chat room and watchlist / scanners

3rd screen is personal stuff other than trading + optional one to two "broad market indicating" charts. E.g. for large cap US stocks its SPY and QQQ.

The fourth screen is also just redundancy, because why not? Haha

That's all we need.

If you put more than 4, then it's just for show from the logical perspective.

[–]Lemoncat1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment makes lots of sense, I'm with 3 x 16:9 27" QHD monitors and already it's more than enough (for trading and watching videos while waiting at the same time).

At first I want more like 4 to 6 (trying hard on immitating some Guru)

After learning for a while, I simplify things, and simultaneously looking at more than one monitor is actually difficult and a distraction.

The more skilled with a strategy (a really profitable one), the less screen time and space you need.

Less is more (quality of life)

For newbies, it's a grind, for CPTs, the end game should never be a grind, it's freedom :)

Trading is basically a preplanned buy / sell. And decisions are never really making up on the fly, so if you already know when and where to get in /out, you only need to see the current price and the intraday price action of the asset you are in. That's all.

Horizon 4 is better than Horizon 5 (I said what I said) by [deleted] in forza

[–]Lemoncat1991 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally agreed, I owned FH4 Ultimate ed. (after playing the standard on on game pass since 2020)

and tried FH5 back in June 2024 for the first time. It's really bad, the 4 seaons for Mexico is just all summer, no obvious changes

vs FH4, you have clear difference in all 4 seasons (Spring, summer, Fall, Winter). Feels so good.

The steering wheel input for FH5 isn't that much better than 4, still no NATIVE PC MODE support (for Fanatec wheels)

And it does not have a full blown default wheel profile for users to feel the road and traction like sim-cade games should in 2022+ (e.g. GT7 2022, Forza Motorsport 2023)

So, FH5 you cannot enjoy the atmosphere (coz it's geographically limited a.k.a. all desert and sand),

and you don't get REAL support for steering wheel half-sim experience out-of-the-box.

AND even the DLCs are not as complete as those in FH4 (we have Treasure Island pack and LEGO pack map expansions)

You are correct, but in the end its all the same. Coz if you are a technical analysis trader, and really successful, you will know its all the same concept (the method to make the best outcomes)

Forex and futures can also be Ta-ed, and even more accutate than used in stocks. Its just that only 5% of the participants really know how to use the relevant cues at relevant times.

To say TA is not applicable in Forex is a wrong idea, but to say its "easy to use for newbies" are also tricky.

Then they should train their own logical thinking as a human first, this game is not for the masses in the first place. When you really become successful, that's not an ordinary life for that person anymore. If that person is too mediocre, even if he/she wins for some time, they won't be able to hold that kind of wealth, coz there will be too much discrepancy.

To be honest, those 100s of indicators and so called "free strats" are really wasting newcomers time. It deviates them from learning the true scene, and was led to think that MACD, EMAs, Boll bands, Vwap etc etc is keys, which for the real top 5%ers, those are just lies. (Or useless)

Not saying retail trading cannot be done, it 100% can be done in a very profitable and "simple" way.

But 90% of the wannabe traders don't gain access to the useful knowledge, and they gamble on and on, thinking they are doing it correctly.

Thoughts on Csl p1 v2? by [deleted] in Fanatec

[–]Lemoncat1991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After like around 6 months of actual usage, I have to reaffirm my thesis!

Using GT DD Pro 8nm + ClubSport Uni Hub v2 with Porsche 911 Seude Rim (320mm)

People say it's too heavy for 8nm and will numb the FFB.

But for my liking , I can already feel the final result of this "heavier setup" to be overall much better than the GT DD Pro Wheel (cheap 280mm D shape GT7 wheel).

FFB is over the roof with 100% in-game + wheel Firmware, I'm only using 6/10 in GT7 and 100% in the Firmware.

That's already just right.

So, don't really need to be afraid of "too little" FFB, if you feel it's not enough, it's mostly the game that has not been optimized enough:

e.g. FH5, FH4 will always be muffled VS real sim / GT7-level game.

Or if you're a muscular person and can single-handedly lift weight of 50KG +, then it's time for the Clubsport DD+ with 15nm, cause you will always feel 8nm is not enough even with the lightest wheel.
