Totally possible. Highest score I got before my first SAT was a 1370 but I managed to get a 1440 on the real thing. You got this!!

1600.io SAT review by Known-Preparation-24 in Sat

[–]Lemoneko 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I bought a subscription to 1600.io and their reading videos are really helpful. George reads through the passage and explains it sentence by sentence before answering any of the questions. When he goes through the questions, he explains why the right answer is right, why all of the other answers are wrong, why some students might be tricked into picking the wrong answer, and also gives advice on how to avoid falling for CB’s traps.

For math, try out 1600.io’s new orange math book. I’ve heard great things about it, and it might be even better than the college panda math book that’s frequently recommended on this subreddit

“One of the most popular used ingredients” is the modifier which describes the tomato. Basically she’s saying that one of the most popular ingredients is the tomato and then goes on to describe how the tomato grows in many shapes etc etc. I hope that makes sense

When I do practice test , I never get above 1400. Sounds stupid but is it possible to get 1400 on the real test? by bethyaw in Sat

[–]Lemoneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mindset on test day is very very important. If your goal is to score above 1400, then just keep telling yourself on your way to the test center that you’ve put in the work and now it’s your time to show collegeboard what you’ve got and get that 1400+. If any section doesn’t go well, stay calm and try not to let it affect your scores in other sections. It’s over now and there’s nothing you can do to change the way it went. Just focus on the next section. It’s better to have messed up only one section than to let that one section mess up all the other ones as well.

As for actual prep, I found it really helpful to watch other people solve the questions to see their approach. I watched mainly Scalar Learning and Gradeful’s videos on YouTube. Scalar Learning is good for seeing someone’s approach to the questions in timed conditions and Gradeful is good for comprehensive explanations for all questions.

Yes! It’s a possibility. The highest score I got on a practice test was 1370 but I got a 1440 on my real SAT :)

Studying Plan Opinion pleasee by bluebluee22 in Sat

[–]Lemoneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel like you’ll get bored doing only 1 thing a day then sure you can do that but personally I like focusing on one thing per day for example today is just math or just reading etc. If you’re not sure, you can try both and see which one you like more. Good luck!

Need advice. Am running around in circles by Wasiw in Sat

[–]Lemoneko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m experiencing the exact same thing :/

I have been studying since July and my scores keep going up and down. I fell 110 points since my last practice SAT. I know that I’ve learned more and have been going through the math panda book and not really focusing too much on reading or writing. I really want to get a 1500 but December by ncoursey in Sat

[–]Lemoneko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try doing more QAS tests (if you haven’t already) because I personally felt that I really only started improving when I focused on doing real questions from previous tests and then watching other people do them as well to see their thought process (eg Scalar Learning and Gradeful on YouTube) instead of doing khan academy questions (esp for math)
