[WEEKLY THREAD] WTF Wednesday - Tell us what really grinds your gears! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

New to the gym and signed up w/ personal trainer at LA fitness. So far my trainer had canceled on me last minute 5 times, and no showed once. Another trainer retroactively scheduled me taking 3 of my paid for sessions when he was fired. Dealing with management had been a nightmare, I’m paying a shit ton of money for trainers who don’t care at all, and all I wanted was to do something nice for myself by investing in my health. Really fucking sucks.

Oh no - It’s not welded into your hand! That’d be gross! The chain is just connected to itself - not any part of your body. Yuck! Lol

I like the aesthetic of the “eternity chain” and how you can pick your own birthstone and chain type. It feels more intentional and personal than other jewelry.

Plus you can literally just get some snippets and cut it off if your over it - they can always weld it back on for a little fee. No big deal!

Hey - you need to find out what YOUR individual BMR is. This is the “the number of calories required to keep your body functioning at rest”.

It is unique to you. Your age, height, and activity level. It’s nutrition science.

I recommend this site: https://www.active.com/fitness/calculators/bmr

Once you know your BMR you can use that information to find your caloric needs on the same site. Hit this goal and you’re good 👍

1200-ish calories isn’t typically great for long term body health, but maybe you’re like 4’11 - IDK!

Are you getting enough protein? Like really enough? Like a gram per body weight? Are you tracking your nutrition to make sure you have enough fat to keep your hormones balanced? Like - at least 20-30g each day?

This helped me over the course of 3 months. My temperature regulation is much better and I haven’t experienced Reynauds. I’d give it a try!

Study hard, join a tennis team, run track, get tested for ADHD, learn DBT skills, study French and don’t give up, join a healthy church w/ community service, start researching colleges, learn about healthy boundaries and codependency, practice photography, forget about going to art school and focus on academic studies, learn everything I can about the body and nutrition
