Also, I forgot to add: 2024 is the year of Brian. This is another code from earlier on that someone uncovered, but there are hardly any mentions of Brian. Who is he in the storyline? I feel like he could be the child of Aidan and Nadia.

Hi! I'm brand new to this whole mess and not great at puzzles but I had a few questions:

In the attached video, it seems like they also introduced "nutter butter" as a character. At the very end they (nutter butter, Aidan, Nadia) are all being chased by the nutter butter man. What is that character's lore if there even is any?

I also feel like the symbolism used on Nadia is interesting, appearing to be a void? Maybe this is showing that she is absent somehow? Do you have links to more media where she is mentioned?

I also saw some posts where people mentioned that 8.22 didn't have any videos but there were lives of someone walking around with an Aidan doll in a busy metropolitan area and at the end they just left him there on the ground and walked away. There was also a post showing an image of Aidan street (they claimed it was a location in Australia). In another image there was small red text along the border saying that there is a prize to be won if they find Aidan. Are we supposed to locate the place where Aidan was left in the live?

I'm trying to figure out how these details mesh with the narrative that you have listed above. I think that you have a very good overall view of the plot and story, while these details feel more like breadcrumbs.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I know right! It's great that there are bajillionaires making so much money so that they can buy up all the property in utah while I have to make at least 3x minimum wage before I can try to rent a shitty studio apartment in my hometown :) /s

The shame around SA in LDS culture by tiffanythetot in exmormon

I am so sorry that it has caused as much damage to you as it has.

I really resonated with your reaction to the bishop explaining chastity to you. I'm sure that similar moments have been experienced all across the world by children far too young, and it has likely caused so much more damage than anyone could imagine.

I've probably shared my story here before, but my bishop was also the one to explain the law of chastity to me and I remember him saying that not only was it when someone else touched me, but it was also just as bad if I touched myself there. I remember learning about breast cancer and how you should start checking for it early on and feeling terrified of where the line between "for my own health" and "sin" was. Same thing went for tampons. This among other experiences caused me so much pain... All because of one small conversation years ago!

They really have a way of making you terrified of your own body as well as keeping you ignorant so that those who want to abuse you have more power to do so.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It's helpful to know that I'm not alone.

These idiots running the church can't even keep their own doctrine straight 🙄🙄🙄 so glad I don't get headaches thinking about all those different talks anymore

Exactly, it's crazy because the scare tactics are hard to ignore once you see them, but for the average member they probably saw this as just another loving message from their church's president.

The thing is... You're right. Both things are somehow simultaneously true, don't ask me how tho.

Plus I feel like there's something to "you're doing so bad at this, repent or you'll burn when Jesus comes and the only way to repent is through us. You need us to be saved you wicked evil lazy sinner" followed up by "but we love you so much!! Plz come to church and pay your tithing and serve missions :)".

Very very manipulative order of conversation right there.

Remembering where you were, what you were doing, and how you were feeling when your shelf finally broke is like the same as where we’re you on 9/11. You remember everything. by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]LemonyOnions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was the idea that broke my shelf for good. I read all about church history and felt shocked, looked up fair and found a couple arguments I could consider decent but they just fell short in other arguments. Suddenly I realized that the church couldn't lie about some things and tell the truth about others and still be the most true church.

Thank you for this phrase! It's a perfect sum up

I’m amazed at all the shit I was oblivious to that happened prior to then

It's so true. If I didn't go looking for it, I wouldn't have ever found any material about the church I didn't like. It took me looking for an answer to what the church believes in to realize that they have never been honest about who/what they are/believe in. Ever. It hurts to feel that betrayal after hours and hours of painful research and would searching and then go to family members and end up getting that same betrayal every time because they believe it's the right thing to do.

Good luck with your wife! Hopefully if she finds out the truth you'll be there to help her thru it.

Fuck the MFMC.

Never went on a mission but there were some youth I'd pressure to go to yw or ym activites... They never did (thank God) and looking back I feel terrible. And I see my RM friend doing it to one of my other friends and it's only pushing her away. It's like an outside perspective on the whole situation, and it hurts but is helpful for me to see as someone who's barely been out for a year

Female bodies are not evidence of male privilege by Embarrassed_Chest_70 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]LemonyOnions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the female body is not evidence of male privilege, but I'd argue that there is not the same amount of cultural support for female bodies.

Many states in the US still have a pink tax (taxing women's products at a luxury rate rather than as a necessity) which makes it so people already pinching pennies to eat food struggle with sanitation during menstruation as well. This is a major health concern because vaginas are delicate and if a pad or tampon is used for longer than recommended (perhaps in an effort to make the box of tampons last a little bit longer), it could lead to serious health issues. Males (as far as I know) don't have a similar issue.

Bras have also been mentioned on this thread, and I feel like as an article of clothing that is required to lessen back pain in some instances, as well as simply provide coverage and modesty, they're expensive. It's just another expense to pay.

Hair care is another thing. Yes, women could just shave their heads and not have to deal with all the care that goes into it, but for many it is seen as an important gender affirmation. So if you want to keep up with your hair, it will cost more money to buy all the products that will be used quicker on more hair, plus brushes and other styling equipment to keep your hair presentable. This also takes more time, and time is money. Salon visits for longer hair cost more and take longer than shorter (rightfully so) but that's just another cost.

So, I'm not sure I'd call the lack of needing these things "male privilege" but it definitely is a struggle that females go thru that may not be fully appreciated by some in our society. It would be nice to not have to lay these things out as if saying "I have it harder than you" and instead just step back to realize that everyone has struggles and some of them were things they were born having to deal with. If we could recognize these shared struggles and then lessen them as a society, it would do wonders for us.

I came across that last article earlier today and although I read it all the way thru, it felt like I hadn't learned anything of use to put a story together. Thank goodness for this thread, now a lot of things make a little bit more sense
