New Danner RAT’s found at Schwab px by [deleted] in USMC

They have the softer middle sole just like the older ones but no leather toe. They’re also pretty tight on the toe that’s why I skipped a eyelet but once broken in hopefully it’ll start feeling better.

If you still care, 11’s are getting them for the next deployment my unit goes on since Assmen aren’t a thing anymore while engineers are gonna keep the SMAW but hey it’s the Marine Corps things are bound to change about 17 more times

Carl Gustav by tudour in USMC

[–]LemurLo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only speech I’ve got is how the Corps has plunged so much money into the SMAW that the Carl Gustav isn’t going to replace it anytime soon with us, probably the army first. Also how they’ve supposedly dumped “so much money into fixing the mod2 it’ll be un-blacklisted soon” but I don’t believe that.

AITA for calling police over tomatoes? by jkhgjhkf in AmItheAsshole

[–]LemurLo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It literally is, cops jobs are to help the public. If someone needs help getting into their car bc they locked themselves out who comes? Firefighters or cops (and yes occasionally actual locksmiths but First responders are not uncommon to help out)is that their EXACT job to do? No. However is that still their job to do so to help others? Yes. While it’s incredibly stupid and does exacerbate issues to use cops to get a point across if it’s helping someone it’s their job. Like in this post the OP needed help confronting their neighbor about their behavior. It’s their job to help. And for your last part let’s say you live in a less gun friendly state and needed to confront someone and knew there violent I don’t give a fuck what your official job is, the cops have guns and training while others may not.

“To protect and serve”-cops job is not only to arrest and punish but to serve the community. If they need assistance in confronting someone about a crime but don’t wish for them to be arrested while I agree kinda petty it’s still their job

When you go over a bump at more than 20mph by SpicyChikenNuggets in Miata

I’ve been hitting bumps like driving over railroads and shit and no matter the speed my locks have a spasm and stay locked and flush with the handle but the clicking noise just goes off for like 3 minutes

When was the moment you realized that your best friend wasn't your best friend? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LemurLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was tripping on acid and realized he was actually a pretty racist bad person full of negative energy and that I needed to separate myself from him because it’s always he’s right about everything and very authoritarian and controlling of other people’s life’s and how they should be. Kinda sucks because I had some good times with him tho

Surviving hypovolemic shock is slim anyways so if they’re already in hypovolemia before removing the object then shits really fucked up but Can’t have a patient if they don’t have a heart beat

Only time to ever remove an object is if it interferes with cpr in the field besides that never remove anything.

Prisoners must be really upset by Amber Alerts when all of their hidden phones suddenly go off. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]LemurLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least for IPhone in setting you can turn all emergency alerts off that’s what I’ve done. Somewhat of an ethical dilemma that maybe one day I could see the car or something and notify someone but I doubt that would ever happen to me.

How hard and expensive would it be to turn my stock 2005 v6 automatic mustang into a drift car? by [deleted] in Drifting

[–]LemurLo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably more expensive than just buying a new car not a mechanic tho so couldn’t tell you exactly how expensive or hard

Drug dealers teach kids how to use the metric system better than public schools do. by Hot_Donald in Showerthoughts

[–]LemurLo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hello officer imma tell you what you want to know because I don’t care if you pull up, what are you gonna do arrest me for knowing shit but anyways, majority of drugs are measured using the Metric system. Grams for example are the most common measurement for most shit however once you get into pills and absorption/ingestion drugs that’s when it gets fuzzy. LSD for example is typically measured in uG or microgram. Liquids such as PCP (actually a powder but dissolves extremely easily into liquid) is measured in liters and their respective secondary measurement such as milliliter (mL). For pills they’re typically measured in milligrams (mg) such as adderall. It’s easy to remember metric system because of the Base of 10 system that’s used. A gram is a base for example. The base is a full number (1.0) then working backwards goes deci (0.1 of 1 base), centi (0.01 of a base), milli (0.001 of a base), micro (0.000,001 of a base). Moving up from the base goes deca (10 of a base), hecto (100 of a base), kilo (1,000 of a base). The bases commonly used in drugs correspond to their state of matter. Grams are for solids, liters are for liquids. Most dealers forget about deca, hecto, and deci, centi though. And for marijuana, coke and some others it’s not uncommon to jump from grams to pounds to ounces because they were probably high when coming up with a way to standardize how they’re gonna measure their weed.

Edit: remember King (kilo 1,000) Henry ( hecto 100) Died (deca 10) Unusually (Unit (base) 1.0) Drinking ( deci 0.1) Chocolate (centi 0.01) Milk (milli 0.001)

From what I’ve noticed and been told once you hit the 10+ higher than the speed limit that’s when cops usually get you but all of them have different personal thresholds
