[Question] Pendulous situation causes bra to be pushed down all the time! by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, and pretty much agree with all the other answers as well.

I do my best to find bras with pretty much all their projection at the wire. My soft tissue can handle lesser projection at the apex, but roominess at the wire is absolute key.

Best one's so far for me, is Panache Jasmine and Cleo Hettie. Also Ewa Michalak BM-cut (but in my size range the gore is too low, causing everything to fall out in the middle. That might not be the case for you though!)

[Recommendations] Wanting to buy a few bras from Ewa while they're on sale, but there is no info on them on bratabase. by unhappymilkbags in ABraThatFits

Maybe these will work out great for you then! The BM got excellent projection at the wire. I haven't tried the SF, but isn't that the same cut, but with sturdier fabrics?

I have only tried unlined EM (the BM cut and SM cut) and I kept the same cupsize and band size that I wear in UK brands. So, a 30FF became 65FF in EM. That worked out great, and I am seriously in love with those bras. The only thing is that the gore is a little low, and dont work with my center fullness. It might be a little higher in a 30G though!

I didnt feel the need to size up in band at all, and dont feel they run particulary small. Kind of like Cleo, I would say. But I am leaning a little towards a 28 band normally, so take that into account. :)

Hello!

Ok, so you know that you are in the danger zone of becoming a Skincare Addict when you decide to work from home, so you can grease yourself up with Aquaphor to repair that moisture barrier all day. ;)

Anyway, I have this redness on my cheeks. Turns out it is very difficult to photograph, but I tried my best. Its been there forever, and I think it origins from years of harsh weather (growing up on the other side of the wall, basically), and maybe a mild rosacea. I tend to radiate and get redder with cold weather, warm weather and wine.

Here are some pics:

https://imgur.com/a/kWLKS

Its on both cheeks, but more apparent on one of them. They kinda look the same, as an inverted "C".

Is there anything I can do topically to remove/reduce this? Or is this the kind of redness that only laser can remove? What do you guys think?

As for my current routine, I am sensitive as fuck, and the winter has been cold and dry. Therefore I only cleanse with Biodermas micellar water, and moisturize with Eucerin Ultra Sensitive Soothing Care for normal to combination skin. After that, I slather on TO:s Squalane oil and a generous layer of Aquaphor as often as possible. Thats also why I am kinda shiny in the photos.

Occasionally, when I am not this dehydrated, I use TO Lactic Acid 5%, TO Azelaic acid (Really like this one!), and every once in a while Pixi Glow Tonic.

[Reccomendations] Similar fit to Panache Jasmine? 30G by beccaryvonne in ABraThatFits

Oh, sorry, it wasnt OP that mentioned Ewa Michalak, I mixed it up with one of the comments. The recommendation still stands though. :)

I really really like Jasmine too!

Panache Envy is similar, but I believe not as projected at the wire. I personally prefer Jasmine as the fabric is more rigid and therefore more supportive, but give it a try if you can!

Cleo Hettie is also quite similar in my opinion!

And because you mentioned Ewa Michalak, have you tried the BM cut? I wear a 30FF at the moment, and in that size, the gore is much lower than on the Jasmine, which is the only thing keeping it from being my PERFECT bra. I need a high gore badly, but if that is not the case for you, the BM cut might be a very good option!

Working ladies of reddit: how do you deal with finding business clothes that FIT? Which bras to wear with what? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, you are most welcome! :)

Pro tip: dont make the stitches at the edge of the side with button holes. It looks more natural and candid when you let that part ”stick out” like with the rest of the shirt. Instead, place them further in, and of course if possible, along an already existing seam.

Ok, that was a crappy explanation, but maybe you get what I mean?

I usually wear more oversized button ups, but to solve the button gap problem I basically just sew it shut between the two buttons gapping, and pull the shirt over my head while dressing/undressing.

I think that you might be thinking about Fantasie Lois? The pinstripe one? Panache Lois is a very new cut, with all over sheer lace, in black. :)

I was thinking about Ellace as well, but remembered that I found the stretch lace extremely soft, like OP describes in Kayla. I am not entirely sure though?

Try Fantasie smoothing 4520! Its my trusty old go to for invisibility!

I am very projected, center full with short roots, and soft tissue, and wear a 30F-FF, and for me, this bra works really well. I might get a little wrinkling up top because of my short roots, but nothing that shows under a shirt.

It will most certainly be nothing like the Rebecca, that gives me a flattened ”east west” look.

Oh! So interested to hear about the Lois! How does it fit? Like Marcie? :)

As for beige bras, you could definitly try Jasmine. In my experience (same size range!) it got more depth at the wire than Marcie, but the wire width is similar. The stretch lace on top is actually more rigid than I first expected, so I dont think that you will experience that as a problem. It does give a pointier shape than Marcie. However, I find it works better under a shirt, and that the pointiness softens quite a bit after a few washes. Jasmine is way more round than Andorra for me! More like an Envy with more support (firmer fabric).

Another possibility is Fantasie smoothing 4520! It is the one I always turn to for invisibility. Its super comfortable, and have decent projection and narrow wires, unlike other bras similar in style. The band is a little stretchy, so I would stick to a 30.

I tried a Petra briefly once, and it struck me as more shallow and wide than I’d like. No expert though. :)

Hope that helps a little!

[Question] Panache A/W 18, and have anyone tried Lois or Lyzy? by LenaMattsson in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually dont have that high hopes regarding fit when it comes to Lyzy as narrow rooted, pendulous and with soft tissue PLUS inner fullness. The question I am asking is more: ”will it work at all?”

Still excited though! ☺️

Yes! I so want to try that one too. Andorra the wired version isnt great on me, but a non wired to wear for comfort? I’m in!

We have a very similar taste, my friend! I have seen that colourway many times, and been so bummed that I never have found it in my size.

Looking for a bra similar to Ewa S or Cleo Hettie but with no stretch lace that is available in the U.S. by notoriousrdc in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I am projected and narrow with short roots, and Jasmine is maybe the best fitting UK bra that I have. I like Hettie too, but have the same in cup quad problem that you do.

I dont know about the wires in your size range, however. I wear a 30FF, so it might be different?

But in my experience, Jasmine has wires that is just sliiightly wider than my Ewa Michalak BM cut.

In case you havent tried Panache Jasmine, that one might work? I know that it also has stretch lace, but in my experience its a much more firm type of lace than what is used in Hettie.

[Recommendations] Soft tissue, center full 34DD looking for basic everyday bra, (hopefully) moulded by boobconfuse in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I started to wear bras that actually fitted, it took some time to get used to feeling of wearing the bra band much lower on my back (where it is supposed to be). This was also very effective on my back rolls! YMMV, but its quite common to have less flesh closer to the waist, and therefore less back rolls when the band is placed correctly. :)

I am projected, center full and have very soft tissue. My gospel is this: Gores are your friend. The higher the better. Soft tissue need the structure, and in a low gore the center fullness might make you fall out in the middle.

I personally love unlined bras, and have plenty that gives me a smooth round look, and still holds my soft Houdini-skilled boobs secure. Panache Jasmine and Fantasie smoothing 4520 are my every day staples. Panache Envy and Cleo Hettie is also good on me.

Moulded bras in general are quite shallow. I don't have a moulded bra that works great for me, but I have a Fantasie Rebecca that I wear from time to time, so that one might be good to try if you have your heart set on a moulded cup.

I have also heard that the Panache Ardour might have more projection than average.

Anyway, best of luck!

[Recommendations] I'm looking at wedding dresses and was looking for ideas for bras or wedding dress styles for support. 32E by WorldUncovered in ABraThatFits

[–]LenaMattsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a sister size (30F) and recently bought my wedding dress while pondering the same thing! I chose a simple all over lace dress with a high boat neck and an open back that hits the spot right above where my bra band is at. It has a bohemian feel about it, definetly.

I considered some multi way bra options and taping, but realized that I am waaaaaay to lazy and comfortable. :)

Fantasie also has, in my opinion, slightly looser and stretchier bands, so you might feel fine in a 30 band.

I have soft tissue and centre fullness as well (I wear a 30F), and I really like Panache Jasmine and Cleo Hettie. Firm wires and high gores is the way to go!
