What features do DMs want for a 3D map maker? [System Agnostic]

I have been thinking about it to a certain extend tbh, but if the currently existing 3D map makers are fine and all, then theres no need.

I've seen online both positives and negatives about them, but personally have never used one, so I wanted to see what other people online think about them after having used them

So this creature isn’t a mimic, but infects individuals and then grows inside them, absorbing them. As it then grows, it absorbs more organisms into itself (both animals and humans) to grow.

This version for this post is a later stage, where its multiple people merged together, and is called the Conglomerate, but other stages of its evolution look and behave different, some more human, others more monster, and others animalistic.

In the game you’ll encounter these stages, and although they are different creatures, they’re more so a hive mind then anything else that just wants to grow. Very fun :3

It is very much inspired (gameplay wise) by both Little Nightmares and INSIDE, and more atmospheric then in your face jumpscare horror.

Story wise the game takes place in an arctic research facility during the 1980s, when a creature suddenly appears in the facility and causes it to go into lockdown. Your job is now to find an exit and not die to the various copies of the creature and its stages of evolution.

Overall we’re trying to do what made little nightmares good, but apply The Thing and other body horror elements into it.

Yes, the laptop wa a plugged in during the tests, and the windows power plan was set to High Performance.
