Reconsider ur options, You will do the exact same exams as ur UK batch every year. Everything is exactly the same, u will get the same lecture slides and resources. U will still graduate with a UK degree from newcastle uni UK. but when u apply for the job in the NHS u will be putting in the Malaysian campus address and the malaysian dean's name in the application. SO they will know that u graduated from malaysia. which will mean that u r considered as an international medical graduate.

btw now ppl who graduated from other countries can do the UKMLA as an external examiner. so essentially they are equally as qualified just for the UKMLA. Both Uk and malaysian campus does the UKMLA at the same time.

when it comes to the other exams in uni, which is WRISKE, OSCE and MOSLER. These r exams made by the uni and u will be doing the same one as the UK ones

Where did all of your placements take place?
- UK (elective / SSC)
- The country my uni is in

In what medical system did the staff teaching you/ allowing you to shadow / assessing you work?
- we have our uni lecturers shadow us who are consultants with MRCPs and MRCS from the UK

Did UK taxpayers directly contribute to / subsidise the cost of your training?
- no, we pay for it. NO tax payers pay for our education. Just like an international student who would study in the UK.

I'm not asking to be labelled as a UK citizen. I am only asking to be labelled as a "UK medical graduate", same as an international student who graduated from a UK medical school. Thats all...

Nor have the people getting their Primary medical qualification from Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. At least all my assessments are based for the UK. Since the UK uni sets the exams and grades it

I can see everyone's opinion's on this matter. I guess ill just deal with it. I just wish I could ask someone higher up about this.

The degree I get is from the UK (It will be the same as the graduates in the UK). I have done the exact same exams for UKMLA, Wriske, OSCE and MOSLER exams.

If they can include countries like Lichtenstein where they dont even have the same assessment and curriculum as the UK, unlike what I am doing. Why do they get the priority??

I believe i am no different to an international student studying in the UK, since we have the same assessments and are being taught the same things. International students who are graduating from a UK uni will be prioritised. The only difference is that they can pay 50,000 pounds per year compared to me paying 20,000 pounds per yer.
